A thousand thoughts came across her mind as they slowly pulled apart. Were they supposed to kiss? Was it wrong towards Peta? Should she have given him that letter? But more importantly, did he really mean it? Was he just trying to fool her? She couldn't figure anything out, not at that period. She turned her face away from him, looking ashamed
"Babe?" he murmured quietly
"I-I shouldn't have done that. We shouldn't have. You didn't really"
"Yes I did. Meryl, I never picked Peta over you. I guess I was unassured of what to do, I ran back to her and made her my safe zone. There is nothing in this world I wouldn't give to get you, but since you were the one that ended it, I reckoned you didn't want me back. I was wrong. We both were." He admitted
She gave him a frail smile and hugged him. "What do we do now?" she asked
"Now we get ourselves some lunch and then we continue rehearsals. Okay?" she nodded

They went to a small bistro not far from the studio.
"Coffee and a salad for the lady please" He said to the barista "and I'll have a tuna sandwich with water"
"That'll be $12.43"
Meryl took out her wallet to pay, only to be stopped by Maks "Let me be the gentleman I haven't been" he smiled at her
They found themselves a seat and talked while enjoying their meals
"You still remember"
"How could I forget your favorite meal" he replied
"How are you, really?" she asked, remembering his response back in the studio
"Busy... You?"
"I'm good I could say. My house is finally done, decorated and everything. Charlie and I still do events together every now and then, not often, but it's better than nothing. He's been pretty occupied ever since his daughter was born"
"He's a dad now... Wow. Then, if he's a dad, that makes you Aunt Meryl." He chuckled
"I'm her godmother, actually. But yeah. You should meet her, she is one of the most adorable and daintiest babies you'll ever meet. She has Charlie's curls, too." Her voice slowly rose with excitement"I could only imagine. Do you plan on..." His phone interrupts him mid-way. He looked down to see who it was 'crap' he muttered. "Excuse me one second"
"You're with her?!" The other end of the line screamed
"Who?" He asks rhetorically
"Don't play around with me, Maks. You know exactly who I'm talking about"
"Who told you?"
"You're much more of an idiot than I thought you were. Did you really think that you'd be able to go out with her without getting noticed by people?"
"Peta, we were just getting lunch"
"Really? Just getting lunch?! It looks like you two were quite bundled up just for lunch."
"I can't deal with you right now. Call me back once you get your mind straight"
He hung up and shook his head. She should be the least of his worries right now. He never understood the rivalry she created between her and Meryl. He walked back to the table where Meryl had nearly finished her food.
"Sorry, I had some business to take care of."

I know they're engaged, don't need to remind me. Will that stop me from writing this or anything else for that matter? No. I don't give a rat's arse on what they do, I'll stay here for as long as I can.
I know this is a short chapter, my brain isn't functioning correctly. So forgive me.
For those who are still here with me, ily all
