Jessica P.O.V.~~~~~
A few moments later I arrived at school. What can I say, this school was huge compared to my old private school.
"Golden Creek High School. Home of the Mighty Knights." I read to myself quietly.
I checked my phone again to see if Brielle had replied to my texts yet. Nope, no answer. Fine, I don't need her! I can find my own way around this stupid school!
I clutched my Louis Vuitton purse to my side as I walked through the hallways because I knew one of these poor, idiotic kids would try to snatch it out of my arms. As I walked, my gorgeous, curly pitch black hair swayed back and fourth. Oh, how I loved myself.
Anyways, as I was walking, I stumbled upon this group of girls. They all looked like they shopped at a thrift store. One had on a green turtle neck dress, some worn out ballet flats, giant dorky glasses, and a brown satchel. She also had strawberry blonde hair, and hazel eyes.
The other two were twins and wore the exact same thing. I hate when twins do that. Anyways, they both had on black T-shirts that said "#Selfie" on it in white letters. They also had on white circle skirts, and black high top Converse All-Stars. They both had kinky brown hair and dark brown eyes. Oh, and they had plain white Jansport backpacks.
There was no one else around, so I decided to just talk to them. I walked up to them with the fakest smile ever plastered across my face.
"Hey there!" I said trying to sound enthusiastic.
They sat there and just stared at me.
"Ahem...I said hey there!"
The girl with the dorky glasses whispered to one of the twins, then they all left. That was odd...
Brielle P.O.V.~~~~~
Finally, my bus pulled up to the school. As soon as I stepped off of the bus, I already saw some familiar faces. My best friend Candice was waiting for me right in front of the school, while my other two close friends, Paris and Kyla were standing right next to her.
"Hey, bestie!" Candice screamed.
Everyone around her stopped and looked at her like she was crazy, which she was. I waved my hand awkwardly in response.
"Have you seen the new girl? She has a whole face of makeup on! She looks like she's a little too old to be in high school," Kyla whispered.
"Nope, not yet, but I'm sure it'll be easy to spot her," I replied.
All of us proceeded to walk into the building.
"Don't you love that first day of school smell?" Paris said while inhaling.
"Total- THERE SHE IS!" Candice yelled as she pointed to this "new girl". Kyla was right. This girl looked like she was in her mid twenties. Was she lost? I began to walk towards her but then I realized something... that was Jessica.
I was really confused, I mean Jessi rarely wore makeup! This is so weird. Plus, the whole school was practically gawking at her. Poor thing. I went up to her to see what was going on.
"Jessi? Is that really you?"
All of a sudden, I felt a tight squeeze.
"Brielle! I've been looking all over for you!" squealed Jessica while giving me a very tight hug.
"Nice. To. See. You. Too," I said. I was practically gasping for air. The only thing on my mind is if any of her makeup got on my denim jacket.
"Oopsie! Sorry about that!" she says while releasing me of her tight grip.
"Yeah, um, wanna meet my friends I guess?"
"I'd love too Bri! Show them to me!"
As I walk back over to my group of friends, I notice that Paris makes a face at Jessica. She looks like she just drank sour milk. I don't say anything about it, but I'm pretty sure Paris isn't exactly head over heels for Jessica.
"Guys, meet Jessica. She's a childhood friend."
"Hey guys! I'm her best friend so lay off m'kay?" possessively says Jessica.
Wait a minute. Pause. Me and Jessica bffs? When was this? I mean, she never claimed me as her bestie before so why now? If anything, her best friend was this girl who went to our elementary school. Her name was Valentina, I think, and she'd always ditch me for her. Ugh, whatever. She's probably just acting like this for attention.
"Newsflash, she's my best friend so you better run along with your little rich friends and get the hell out of my face before we have some problems," said Candice a little too loudly.
"Honey, I think we already have some problems, don't we?"
"Are you sassing me, girl?"
I stepped in.
"Guys, chill. It's only the first freaking day of school. Can you guys just relax? C'mon, we have a whole school year ahead of us. Can we please start it on the right foot?"
"I guess," Candice mumble. "Sorry I over reacted," she said half heartedly.
"Yeah whatever. I forgive you I guess."
Soon after that, the bell rang and we all split up in search for our homerooms.
