Chapter 1
Narrative POV
"Oh well the last one gone." The young girl says while slowly pushing the rock over the last maids grave. The girl was a strong one for her age. So she could easily push the rock over the grave.
After she's done she slowly sighs and grabs her light brown hair in a stressful manner.
"I wish she was younger. She wouldn't have died just yet." The girl sank to her knees and looked to the sky. "Just me and home now huh?" The young one looks at the mansion behind her and sighs once again.
Little Girl POV
Mommy and daddy aren't coming back are they? They said they would. They promised me. They left the maids to look after me. The maids said they wouldn't leave a little six year old behind. But they were old and kept on falling over. My favorite maid May said that they needed to go in the sky so when there chest stops moving so I'm supposed to bury them. May told me to say kind words after I bury them like "Be safe" and "Stay true to the light" or something like that. She was so silly like that.
May was so cool. She taught me how to cook. That's so cool right? She also taught me to read and told me to read every chance I got. May was a pretty maid. But she stopped breathing today while she was taking her afternoon nap. I was so sad I cried. I said a lot of nice words to her rock. I hope she feels happy in the sky. May told me before her nap to be safe and she loves me. But I don't know what the last part meant no one has ever said that around the mansion. I wonder what it means...?
