It all began with a singular piece of paper. A piece of paper containing few words. These few words would change my life forever; this was discovered to be the biggest turn around in my life to envelope me so far. So what was so special about this piece of paper? It was a scholarship, one of which you do not apply for, one of which you are selected for, and these scholarships were very rarely handed out. These scholarships were for the BlueBlood Training Academy. I knew little about this place and so at first was stunned to be handed one. In fact, not many knew anything about BlueBlood, and those that did were restricted from saying a single word. I accepted the scholarship, as anyone would have done.

Once I had accepted, I received yet another piece of paper from BlueBlood Training Academy, the only information upon it consisted of the request to bring possessions of which I wished: one of the requests was to bring ONLY one set of clothes, the ones that I would be wearing, and another of the requests were to be that when we were to meet with the mysterious BlueBlood representative that we would be alone. And so it was. The possessions that I took were in a small, sparse, suitcase as suggested. Inside were mainly books, however, four soft toys also made their way into the case, along with a few pieces of jewellery, and a hairbrush. No practical items were requested, for example toothpaste and toothbrushes were all to be provided. The way that I saw BlueBlood was as a form of escapism from the life that I initially led. I wanted to start anew, with a life that few led. My former parents dropped me off with my small suitcase it what seemed to be the middle of nowhere. As they drove away, I felt a knot of anxiety grip my stomach, I had no idea what I had let myself in for. I looked round to see a man cloaked in all black, he approached rather quickly: "you must be Iris" the man said, he had a gravelly, deep voice that gave me goose bumps. All I could do was nod, he gestured for me to follow him so I did. I followed the cloaked man towards a large oak tree. Twelve others of my age stood around with their cases awkwardly. Eight were girls, and the remaining four were boys. The man stopped in front of the tree and beckoned me towards him. "Iris, place your right hand flatly upon the tree, and grip your case tightly in your left". I did as he instructed. As I placed my hand upon the rough bark, a warm tingling sensation, ran through my right arm. I was so taken by this action, that I failed to recognise the thick, green vine, slithering down the tree. It was only that once I noticed it, that it latched itself upon my leg. Just before it locked down completely, the mystery man said: "Wait down at the bottom, and move slightly to the left once you are down there". I dare not question him why. The vine clenched my leg even harder and flung me into the air, I noticed a small hole in the tree, and I knew, I just knew I would be going through that, I held my breath as the vine pushed me through the hole in the tree. It was seemingly bigger than it looks. I closed my eyes tightly. The next thing I knew I was falling.

A thump sounds and a dull ache in my right side forms. I gradually open my eyes and look up, moving quickly to the left with my case, I laugh, how strange yet wonderful this is going to be. I thought to myself. My feet allow me to stand as the next person falls through, a boy. He lands with an even louder thud. As he gets up, I notice that he is beautiful. He has blonde sandy hair, worn in a half quiff, half normal, he possesses deep brown eyes, and a slim, tall build of a body. He scrambles to his feet and moves closer to me. I smile, as does he, both remaining silent. Suddenly it seems, that the remaining eleven fall through like a never ending cycle. Eventually everyone is present, all looking a little traumatised. It seemed to be that once the man fell through landing upon his feet lightly, that we all began to really take in our surroundings. Everywhere you looked it was silver. It was like being in a massive elevator. With those white lights above our heads. The ceiling was silver with a tint of silver, everywhere else you looked it was silver. It gave off a metallic look, which of course it would, considering it was metal. A very sturdy metal at that, steel. A few of the girls stood gore ping at the at the remarkable place. The cloaked figure turns around slowly and begins to walk down what seemingly is a corridor. Naturally everyone follows him, yet no one speaks. I notice that concealed in the corners of every nook is a speaker. I soon found out why. A booming voice vibrated the floor slightly as it spoke: "All cohorts to their allocated dormitories. I repeat all cohorts to their allocated dormitories. Do this IMMEDIATELY. All those new cohort members, must report to the office within three minutes". Just as quickly as the voice came, it was gone. The cloaked figure removes his hood and says "We have much to do, Come".
