A long day passed by and nothing had happened. I started to think nothing was wrong and that we had overestimated the time it would take for Erebus to arrive. I was about to leave the room, when the entire room shook from a loud booming sound from outside somewhere. We were under attack. I planted myself again on the bed to wait it out.
Another hour or two passed before the television flickered. I, and probably most the kingdom, sat intently, waiting to see my father's face on the screen. I got my wish, but not in the way I had wanted. My father was in his chair, tied and gagged, my mother next to him in the same state. They both had blood dripping from their faces, signs of torture were evident. Erebus walked into view behind them.
"Well, well, look at where we are now. I have the king and queen of Adakon tied in chairs, and I can do anything I wish to them. But where is little Chronos? I have a promise to keep, and you are making it very difficult for me. I will find you. But your parents have revealed that they have had your location erased, so they are of no more use to me. Say goodbye to mommy and daddy, for this will be the last you see of them. Well, alive that is." He started laughing, then my parents screamed and the tv went to static.
I was so shocked by what I had just seen and heard that the pain of their deaths hadn't quite set in yet. But when it finally did, I was so dysfunctional that time stopped and started over and over again and I didn't even realize it, my pain fueling the frequent changes.
When I was feeling human again, I set out to find a way out of the chamber without being seen. I looked for a passageway, and knowing my father and the reason this room was built, I knew there was a passageway somewhere in here. I started knocking on the hard metal walls, looking for a false panel. Finally I hit a section of the wall where it was hollow. I started searching for a place to open it when a square by the door opened.
"Please place thumb." an automatic sounding voice said as a small thumb scanner slid out of the wall. I place my thumb, and a small prick. I drew back my hand quickly, flicking it, more surprised than in pain.
"Blood of Chronos, recognized." Then the wall slid open, revealing a new passage and a way out. I ran in, trying to get about as far away from the palace as I could. I ran and ran, not knowing anything except for the fact that I was running into the unknown.

When I emerged from the tunnel, The sky was dark. The moon shone brightly above me, it's silvery light illuminating my surroundings. I was in the middle of a pond. The water was pushed up and away from the passageway exit. More electromagnetics again. I looked back behind me, seeing Agalda, the palace standing tall. Nothing looked wrong, yet everything was. Then there was a flash.
The flash started out small, then grew and started to rise. It rose until it reached it's apex, and formed a dome around the castle. Then a ball of fire rising, slowing and falling towards my home. The fiery ball, hit the light, and exploded, the light shuddering from impact, but sustaining no damage. The palace force field had been activated. No one was getting in unless Erebus said so.
Then some voices echoed out of the tunnel, alarming me of invaders. Time slowed, and I ran the other way. You might ask why I didn't stop time, but the answer is simple. I can make a far greater distance sustaining time slowing down than I could with stopping time. Slowing is much easier on me.
When I had reached a point where I was safe, I let time run more smoothly. I tried to find a place where I could hide for the night. I searched and found a cave on top of a hill dotted with trees, not to far by. I climbed down into it's dark and cold unknown void and found a place where I could rest. The rock face hid me from the entrance and I was able to sleep knowing I was safe, but not so much comfortably.
