Suzy had been making sure Arin was okay for the following week. She had been bringing him out to hang out with friends more; He even postponed his work on his new animation. Throughout this time, Arin had gotten to open up more around Dan. They spoke on a daily basis, their conversations more or less awkward than anticipated.

Arin finally had gotten given Dan a lot of trust. Arin was invited out to hang out with Barry, and Dan recently, in which Arin had agreed to tag along. As they wait for Barry, Dan had started a small conversation with Arin. Dan focused on every word Arin had to say, from his passions or his opinions on certain bands/artists.

"RUSH, my all time favorite band." Dan spoke, with a wide smile.

"They're a great band. Peart did a wonderful job of incorporating his love for literature in the lyrics he wrote." Arin says, looking down at his hands and playing with the sleeves of his hoodie.

"It's smart. You shouldn't just sit there and write about something you don't enjoy. You need inspiration from somewhere." Dan chuckles.

Arin couldn't help but softly smile at Dan's little laugh. Dan looks over at Arin, a smile still on his face.

"What?" Dan asks, a small smile that stays still on his face.

"Nothing. You seem really passionate about music, have you ever pursued that type of career?" Arin asks, glancing up at Dan.

Dan sat there, staring at Arin. Admiring how Arin's cheeks had turned a soft pink color, and how he licks his lips, shyly smiling afterwards.

"I have actually." Dan says, not taking his eyes off Arin.

Arin's eyes get a bit wider, he seemed interested in Dan's choice of career. Dan laughs softly, before looking back at Arin.

"I was in a band called Skyhill, we used to play gigs and all that. We even got to release an album. Now, I'm in a band with one of my good friends, Brian. I changed from doing serious type of music to more of a comedy type. It's really fun, and I don't know..." Dan finishes, with a nervous chuckle.

"Do you think I can hear your music, I mean, if you don't mind.." Arin asks, shyly.

"Yeah, of course." Dan says, smiling.

Barry walks out, talking into his phone. Arin and Dan both look at Barry, ready to leave whenever Barry was ready. He looks over at the two sitting on the couch, putting up his index finger as he continued to speak into his phone. Quickly, Barry looks down at his phone and then proceeded to put his phone in his pocket.

"Alright, who's ready to go to Santa Monica Pier." Barry smiles, placing his hands on his hips.

"Sounds like a fun time." Arin spoke, excited to spend time at the pier.

Dan ruffles his curls, and stood up. Arin slowly proceeded to get off the couch, putting his phone in his back pocket. He had followed Barry and Dan out of their apartment, walking down to the parking lot.

---------------------------------------------------

"Ass! My legs fell asleep." Arin shouts, stumbling out of the car.

"Did you just say ass?" Dan asks, laughing.

"Yes, I said ass!" Arin says, beginning to laugh as well.

Dan ruffles his curls, smiling as he watches Arin chuckle. Arin noticed that Dan was staring and instantly looked down, smiling.

"Why'd you stop?" Dan asks with a small smirk on his face.

"I- I don't know." Arin spoke, tucking a stray hair behind his ear.

Barry poked his head around the corner of the car, with a small smile. Barry had slightly startled Arin which caused Danny to smile a bit. He thought the way Arin's head bobbed when his body jerked back slightly was a bit cute.

"Shall we get going?" Barry announces, straightening up his back.

"Yeah, let's go." Arin smiles, straightening out his shirt
