Ok so a lot of stuff in this story won't make sense as I wrote it a while ago, but I might take it up and down and edit it as such, but I hope it is somewhat enjoyable :) Instagram-

Leslie's POV
I reclined on my best friend's couch. The one I always sat on. There's literally an imprint of my body on there. I dumped my stuff there earlier but regretted it when I felt a pen sticking into my back.

I stretched out as Corey (Haim) came in with three bowls of popcorn. I was puzzled by this as I thought it would just be the two of us on our weekly Friday movie night. I shifted my head to Corey, then to the extra bowl.
He seemed to pick up what I was questioning and mentioned something about River. River Phoenix. As in his other best friend River. Shit. I gulped slowly and diverted my attention back to the horror movie on the screen. I glanced at Corey who was looking at me worriedly.
"You okay?"he asked gently.
"Y...yeah, just feeling a little ill, that's all." I felt an uneasy look spread across my face and I started to feel a little sick. I do when I'm nervous.
River had bullied me for years until one day he stopped suddenly. Well most kids bullied me because I used to wear braces and have big blue eyes and brown hair- which was not considered normal. Yet we still constantly bicker and mess around with each other. We literally acted like five year olds. So it seemed anyway. Overwhelming memories of the harassment and teasing I went through came back to me all at once, as a bad feeling spread through my tingling body. I covered my hand over my mouth in a panic.
"Les? You okay?" I heard Corey ask as I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Yeah... I don't know what happened." I weakly smiled at him.

A knock at the door brought me out of my daze and Corey rushed to get it. I immediately sprinted to the bathroom to wash the bad taste from my mouth and rinse my red face.

I headed into the living room. Surprise surprise... River was there. And he was sitting where I always sat- squashing  all my belongings.
Please, get off my chair," I told him.
"Actually, it's Corey's chair," he retorted- knowing how to wind me up.
"Corey! You know I was sitting there!" I practically shouted. His face twisted and he said "Look guys, I'm not going to put up with you guys acting like babies, so I'm going to say no one on the chair. You can sit on the other couch. This one's mine," he said- stretching out his legs. I grumbled as I sat on the tiny couch. River followed and squeezed in next to me.
"Move up Macchio," he complained- putting his hands on my side and pushing hard. I was pretty light, so soon I was sprawled on the musty carpet.
"Son of a bitch,"I muttered.
"Cooorrrreeeyyy." He whined. "She said a bad word to me!" He crossed his arms dramatically, purposefully acting like a six year old.
"At least I can act my fucking age!" I threw my arms up in the air. Corey swung his head around. "Jeez! Shut up! Both of you." River put on a sad look.
"I'll do my best Cor Cor," he said in a baby voice.
"You know, sometimes I wonder why we're even friends," he mumbled.
I sat back next to River and he looked at Corey for a second before deciding to stay still. I smirked to myself and turned back to the movie. The fuzzy picture made my eyelids droop, and before I knew it they were shut, my head gently falling onto River's shoulder. I was too tired to move it so I left it there for a while, although I knew it was a stupid thing to do. I felt River shift, then suddenly felt my head violently snapped to the left as River shoved it off his shoulder. I cried out in pain and rubbed my neck, after giving him an angry stare I proceeded to stand up.
"You know, I think I should go," I spoke, and grabbed my bag from the now disused armchair.
"Leslie-"
"It's fine, I can tell River doesn't want me here- he's your friend." River smirked in triumph.
"I-uh-"
"Bye Corey." And with that, I slammed the door shut. I didn't like doing this to Corey, but I couldn't stand River.

I hurried back to my house and burst through the door, my younger brother of 14, Sebastian was there on the couch, but Ralph was probably out partying or in his bedroom on the phone to one of his girlfriends. (Btw, she's about 16) I marched into the living room and threw myself on the couch.
"Someone's in a mood,"he said.
"Someone's an idiot," I shot back with a glare. He looked slightly hurt at this and my face softened slightly.
"Sorry, it's just River and-"
"It's fine, I know about River," he threw the remote to me and headed upstairs. I sat down and watched some soppy drama for about twenty minutes before deciding I should get to bed. My parents were on a business trip so there was no one nagging me about bed time. I trudged upstairs-head down, and bag trailing behind me. I was walking past the bathroom door, when it suddenly burst open- sending me flying to the right and landing on my butt. I grabbed my side in pain.
"Ow, you son of a bitch!" I cried out. I looked up from my now crouching position and saw Ralph's hand outstretched to mine. I took it and he pulled me to my feet. I winced when his hand brushed against my side.
"Uh, shit, oh yeah, I'll get you some ice for that." He ran downstairs and came back a few minutes later with a bag of frozen peas. Good enough. I snatched them from him quickly.
"You're welcome,"he muttered. I groaned as I lopsidedly walked back to my bedroom, before turning around. "Shouldn't you be out partying or some shit?" I cocked my head to one side.
"Nah, my date's ill." I nodded as if I understood and silently opened the door to my bedroom which I shared with Sebastian. I laid on the other bed, next to his own.
"If you want, I can go and try to beat up that River dude," he put on the toughest voice he could manage. I giggled as I could hear him attempting to deepen it further.
"Nah little buddy, it's life, you have to focus on the good things, not the bad things. But I haven't learnt to do that yet." I headed to my closet to go and change. Once I came out in my long t-shirt and sleeping shorts, I hopped back into bed and lay awake for awhile.
"Well, if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm always here," he replied sweetly. Sebastian could be the kindest guy you've ever met one day, the next, he's having a heated argument with some random dude in the street over nothing. Don't even ask, it's his 'style.'
"Thanks little bro." He curtly nodded, before opening his mouth to speak again.
"Did he do that to you?" he asked, pointing at the pack of slightly unfrozen peas on my side. I lifted up my shirt to reveal the makings of a large bruise. I winced and brought my shirt back down.
"No. That was Ralph," I replied.
"Oh."
"River did this though," I pointed to a faint red mark on my neck when he slapped my head off his shoulder.
"Les! Didn't Corey do anything?"
"Not really, I just left."
"Well be careful for god's sake, night."
"Night."

A/N Of course I know River was a sweetheart, and so that's why in the next few chapters I try to make him seem nicer as I don't like writing him being mean xx
