I was awoken my the beautiful sound of my blaring alarm clock.
Today was the day.
Today was the day that I was going to leave everyone behind for 3 months to go to some summer camp 5 hours away from home with absolutely no wifi and sh!t food.
"Kennedy!", my mom yelled.
"Kennedy get out of bed!" I wouldn't move.
"Kennedy Mary Joseph wake up!"
"I don't waaaaaaant toooooooo........."
"Kennedy if you don't get up now you will be late for check-in."
"Good."
I really was not feeling whole nature and outdoors vibe, but my mom says it would be good for me to get some fresh air.
"Kennedy I know you don't want to go, but you will make friends and I'm sure that you will have loads of fun!"
"Fine."
Oh and did I mention that I needed to wake up at 5 in the morning to be there and settled down by 11? No?
I finally forced myself to get out of bed. I put on the clothes that I laid out last nigh which consisted of an All Time Low concert tee shirt and running shorts with a pair of flip flops. I didn't feel like putting on any makeup, so I didn't. I pulled my long blonde hair into a high pony tail and went downstairs to eat breakfast.
Once we were done eating, my mom and I were in the car getting ready for the long, painful 5 hour drive to camp.
All of my bags were in the car already. I put them there last night so I wouldn't have to worry about them this morning. I didn't want to handle more than I had to this morning.
I was not in the mood to talk to my mom on the way to camp, so I put in my headphones and zoned out the entire ride.
*5 HOURS LATER*
After what felt like forever, we finally pulled onto the dirt road that lead to the camp.
We drove for a few minuets before I saw an old wooden cabin with the words "CHECK-IN" written near the top.
We got out of the car, making sure to grab my bags and everything that I needed out of the car and walked up to the check-in cabin.
Behind the desk was a girl with short brown hair that was puled into a french braid wearing a camp staff tee shirt and jean shorts.
The name tag read Alyssa.
"Name please?"
"Uh Kennedy. Kennedy Joseph."
"What a beautiful name! Okay, so it looks like you will be in cabin 3 with Tailor and Mady. Here is your cabin key and just yell if you need anything.
"Thanks.", was all I said.
I turned around and pulled my mom into a long, tight hug, knowing that I wouldn't see her for 3 months. My mom and I always had a strong relationship. I hadn't even noticed I had been crying until my mom pulled away and wiped away my tears.
"Listen Ken, you will be okay. I promise. There is a camp phone in the nurses office if you ever need to call home. And Ken, don't let those camp b!tches get to you, okay?"
"Okay mom. I love you. I'm going to miss you."
"I will miss you too. Just promise me you will try to have fun.
"I promise."
And with that, she was gone.
I was walking to my cabin, which happened to be about a 5 minuet walk to the dining hall which was nice, when I ran into something. Or, more like someone.

RandomI did not want to go. At all. I was being forced out of my house to go to some summer camp that I didn't even care enough about to learn the name of. I would much rather be laying in my bed listening to music, but my mom thinks the opposite. She say...
