A Nochelle Love

Chapter 17

Noah's pov
Right now I'm sitting in the waiting room of the hospital and I realise that I need to call Amber's school.
Ringing
"Hello St Peter's High School speaking." The other end says.
"Hello I'm Mr Erlick, Amber Erlick's dad." I say.
"Oh yes of course! Amber is a great student!"
"Good to hear. Could you do me a massive favour please? It's an emergency"
"What is it sir?"
"Well you see my wife and Amber's mother has been shot in the foot so I'm at the hospital waiting to see when I can see her. Could you please bring Amber to star hospital as soon as you can please?"
"Of course sir. I will go and get her now. I'm very sorry to hear about what has happened to your wife."
"Thank you." I say before hanging up.
Twenty minutes later
So I'm still in the waiting room and then I see Amber walking towards me with her teacher. Amber jumps on my lap.
"Thank you so much Mrs.....um. Sorry what is your name?" I say feeling a bit rude.
"Mrs Williams" she corrects me. "It was no trouble really." She said
"Well thank you Mrs Williams." I say.
She nodded and then walked out.
"What happened to mum?" Amber asks me.
I told her the whole story and she looked worried. I gave her a hug and told her everything will be ok. I also said that she can have the day off school tomorrow. That made her happy.
Suddenly a doctor came ober to us.
"I'm afraid that she isn't awake yet." He said.
"But i thought that she just fainted." I said
"Well that happened at first and now she is in a coma. We are doing everything we can at the moment for her." The doctor said with a smile.
I just nodded and thanked him
"Please could you follow me and I will show you where you will be staying tonight. You can stay tonight can't you?" He said.
"Yes." Amber replied.
"Doctor will she be ok? You know she is a few weeks pregnant right?" I say nervously.
"Wait she is pregnant? Oh lord! I don't think that the baby will make it through that, I'm sorry." He said.
He starts walking to our bedroom and says
"I think that your wife will wake up tomorrow at some point." He was trying to keep us calm.
I suddenly felt really bad for saying that I didn't want that baby because I think Richelle secretly did. Now it's going to die.
When we got to our room the doctor said that he will do some pregnancy scans to see if the baby is ok and left.
An hour later
The doctor came back and said that the baby was a miscarriage and that Richelle was still asleep. How can I tell her that she has lost her baby when she wakes up? This is not good especially because Amber wanted a sibling.
