Soon To Be Step Brother

Alex's first day

I finish getting ready and I run downstairs to eat breakfast I say "good morning mom" to find Alex In the kitchen "cooking" and mom in the living room watching tv. I ask oh. What are you doing in here? as I cough because of the smoke. He says "well I was trying to cook break fast for everyone" I laugh and say Ill just eat a bowl of cereal. He replies "yeah. I think that would be best for everyone" and the fire alarm goes off. My mom comes running in and we are laughing so hard we can't explain that it was just Alex's burnt "pancake". But she kinda already knew by then. She tells us to get out of the kitchen and we both end up skipping breakfast he says "let's go Ill drive." With his smooth voice I look at him and go "you sure?" He says yeah it's all okay with me and I continue "no I mean are you sure you can drive cause based on your cooking skills I don't-" he stops me "sh." No one else needs to know and he winks at me again then I say "hm. Okay..." He yells "dad I'm taking your car to school" and grabs the keys not even letting his dad respond and we walk out the door he opens my door for me and gets in on the other side as we are sitting there I say "well. Are we going?" He looks at me as he puts on his sunglasses on and says this should be fun. I get scared. We arrive to school safely and he says "your welcome" and throws me the keys and walks off. "Um okay..." I say to my self I see Lily waiting for me out front and I walk up to her. "Well???" She says I reply back "you will not believe-" as Alex walks up "hey ari and ari's friend." Lily says " it's Lily. And you are?" He smiles "Alex. Nice to meet you." She smiles back. I pull her away and tell Alex we have to go and he says "bye future sister" and smiles I rolled my eyes at him and he laughs and walks away. Lily yells "that's Alex??" I reply "yup." "You like him don't you." Lily says. "Um. Hes my step brother" I reply she says "not yet you guys are just friends." I turn away from her as the bell rings. I sit in class thinking of reasons I don't like him 1.he's going to be my step brother 2.HES GOING TO BE MY STEP BROTHER. but he is a gentleman and quite flirty and funny. Wait what am I thinking. No. No. no. The day is over and there is no practice today so me and Alex head home I ask how the first day was. "Good without you in any of my classes." I roll my eyes he looks at me and says just kidding! With a smile. we get out of the car and and we go inside and mom is crying she says I have something to say.....
