Poseidon's Curse

Son of Poseidon, out of all the Gods and Goddesses he had to be the son of Poseidon. I was told when I was claimed by my father Zeus that there would be someone that would test my authority and be my leader. I won't let him, I am supposed to be the leader. I was born to be the leader, and if he has a problem with that we can just see how water reacts when it get struck by lightning. I don't care what Poseidon says I will not follow him no matter what happens. 

"Hey Alyssa did you hear we are going be a in a trio, fighting of bad guys!!" said Tumnus.

"Oh great, I'm having so much trouble containing my happiness." I said.

"Oh I'm not I knew when I first saw Teegan that he had something special in him, we have never had a son or daughter of Poseidon. Oh just imagine all the research we can do, and all the things we can try to find out what he can do!! I am so excited I could do a square dance!!" said Tumnus.

"Please don't, and what is so awesome about being the son of Poseidon. I am the daughter, the only demi-daughter if i might add, of Zeus. And that should be where all of your excitement right there."

"Oh did you here the part where Poseidon said that there was someone after Teegan that must be scary, maybe he needs a hug. What do you think?" said Tumnus.

"WHAT DO I THINK, YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT I THINK. I THINK THAT WE SHOULD BE FOCUSING ON ME THE MAIN PERSON AT THIS CAMP AND NOT SOME NEWBIE THAT JUST GOT HERE. That's what I think. I think that if you don't get your priorities straight I may just summon some lightning and zap you so that you will understand that I am more important. This kid will never be stronger or wiser than me and you better recognize that!!" I said.

"Wow seems that I struck a nerve would you like to talk about it. I could give you a hug if you would like!" said Tumnus.

"JUST GO AWAY" I said as I was walking off. I can't believe that a newbie comes in and steals all the attention that I have worked so hard on. I don't know what to do, I guess I can go pray to father and ask for advice.

I walked into by cabin which I was the only one in because I have no brothers or sisters. I walked to the back of the room which is reserved for praying. I lit my fathers favorite sent which smelt like the wind and open spaces. Then said the opening prayer: 

"Oh father, gracious father, lord of the skies and lord of all. I ask for your presence to fill this room. I ask that you hear my prayers, and that you give me strength and guidance. Please father hear my prayers and come to me."

As if on key the room filled with a light blue colored smoke. The walls turned from wood to pure gold. The ceiling lights turned into beautiful chandeliers. The cabin itself seemed to grow 10 times in size. The roof and the walls disappeared and there I was in the realm of my father. I was standing in front of a man I have never seen before, my father.

"Wow, it's amazing to see you most of the time I hear you and that's it but here I am standing in front of my father" I said.

"Stop babbling child, I more important things to do than hear you babble. Now my brother claim his son Teegan today and prophesied what will happen in the near future between you, him and Tumnus. Now everything he said is true there will be a great war and he will lead you into battle but you have two choices when going into war. Be the hero and win the battle for your side and loose someone very dear to you. Or follow and take orders from Teegan and help win the war with no casualties. You may not not but Poseidon and I are very close, he is my favorite brother after all. Now if you and Teegan work together your powers will intensify, but if you choose to work by yourself he will get stronger than you quick. Don't let my words go to waist, do as I say and win this war for us work with Teegan and make him stronger."  said my father.

And just like that he vanished and everything turned back the way it was. I was left wondering what I should do, I could help Teegan and ruin my pride or i can be the hero and "loose someone important to me" but I don't keep people close enough to be important. If my mother taught me anything its to not let anyone close enough to where they can hurt you. She also taught me how to kill someone with a straw but that's not important. 

I walked out of my cabin a little disoriented as i usually am after prayer. I wasn't paying any attention to where I was going and I ran into Teegan. I ran into his so hard we both fell over. 

"Oww, Teegan if your skull gets any harder I'm going to have to wrap it with bubble wrap." I said 

"Sorry Alyssa, I didn't see you there I was actually just coming to see you I have something to tell you" he said.

"Well get on with it I'm not getting any younger" I said.

"Well, ummmmm, actually this is kinda hard to say but. If we don't get out of this camp now everyone will die today. I need you and Tumnus to come with me so we can save all of these people."

"Teegan what is happening? Who is after you? Why do we have to run?" I said.

"I will explain on the way but for now we have to run NOW" he said.

So assuming that this is the biggest thing that has happened since Cronus ate his children. I got up and ran as fast as I could, we ran to Tumnus told him the situation and then took off. As we got out of the camp area we didn't stop running. We probably ran for a good 5 miles before we saw our car that Teegan drove here. 

"Ok what in the name of Zeus is happening right now and I don't want a fake story start from the beginning and go from there" I said.
