It was a simple question really.
Soft voices barely heard over the street traffic and scents of the trash in the alleyways (that should've been taken out by the garbage men moths ago), mixed with the bittersweet scent of caramel drinks that Mr.Kim always seemed to make when the tall inspiring hip hop artist with the nice dimple came around were the little details in Park Jimin and Min Yoongi's life.
They were laying in bed with their legs intertwined with one another and gentle breaths filling the silence, along with the occasional humming performed by Jimin whenever a tune came rushing into his head. The two young males were happily together-
Well that's what they told themselves at least.
If you asked Yoongi, he'd denied that he stared at Jimin's new dance partner, Jhope, a little longer than he was suppose to.
If you ask Yoongi again, he'd defend himself saying how Jhope's smile was too memorizing to not look at.
Yoongi was the cold beauty that filled empty spaces with his powerful rhymes.
He was a beautiful human-
doll like clear skin, thin pink lips, eyes that shinned brighter than the sun and stars combined.
Its not wonder why Jimin found himself attracted to the older the first time they met.
Park Jimin.
Like Yoongi, if you were to ask Jimin, he'd stuttered with his face beat red, eyes everywhere except on you, when he tells you that he isn't absolutely and undoubtedly intoxicated by Yoongi's co-worker, Jeon Jungkook.
Again like Yoongi, Jimin would defend himself saying that Jungkook has a cute laugh he likes to listen time to time.
Park Jimin, to say simply, is your typical cute neighbor kid whom you've been friends with for your whole lives before having a truck loaded with 'puberty' come and slam into him as if he were a ball getting hit by a baseball player.
Unlike Yoongi, Jimin didn't look like a doll that would break if not handled carefully.
Jimin was the fiery Beauty that danced with such passionate moves, leaving everyone else in an awe-state of mind.
He had caramel-like skin, full plump lips that complimented the twinkle in his eyes whenever his doe like eyes turned into tiny crescents-
A pure-like beauty indeed.
"Why do people leave others they love?"
They don't remember who asked first, or how the question came about but-
Here they were.
The bittersweet scents and the honking of the cars were still there, even the cat who walks on the ledge of the window came by tonight.
The humming and the soft whispers stopped.
Thoughts began to be appear.
Realization became apparent.
And once they looked at eachother, they knew the answer."You may now kiss the groom."
They sealed it with a chaste kiss on the lips and the roaring of the crowd was heard.
"I'm so happy for you Jeon Jimin" Yoongi smiled. That wasn't a lie-
Jimin was literally glowing with happiness and no one could ruin today for the latter. A few years passed after Yoongi and Jimin cut things off. There were times where Jimin thought he was going to break down into tears everytime he thought about the days with Yoongi as a lover, but to his surprise-
He never shed a single tear.
The same went with Yoongi, late nights at the studio left him beating himself over what he let go with jimin-
But never once did he regret it."Why do people leave those they love?"
The two looked at eachother that night and smiled, the smile didn't reach their eyes nor did it fade. They finally realized, that sometimes no matter how much time you spend with someone-
Things just aren't meant to be.
So, if you asked Jimin or Yoongi why people leave the ones they love they'd look you in the eye and say-
"They just do."
