The group hurried to bring Winter to MudClan territory. They needed a medicine cat to tend to his wounds. Cloud also wanted to see Oceankit and Turtlekit, her two remaining kits. The journey to the island was tough, and taking the cats through GreenClan territory was tougher. But eventually they made it, coming to stand in front of the waterfall.

"It's... It's empty!" Cloud whined loudly after peering inside. "There's no one in here!"

"That can't be true." Owlflight growled. He pushed past her and looked inside the cave, but found nothing but a deserted pile of rubble.

"It looks like it's collapsed." Robin whispered. Since Stone's death, the little cat had gone back to always being by Owlflight's side. He was glad to have the company, though he could tell that Firepaw was getting annoyed.
"What if they're all dead?" Cloud gasped.

"They aren't. They probably moved. Let's head to the mooncave.. Rainpaw can help us." Owlflight suggested. "Can you make it?"

Winter had lost a lot of blood. He was gasping for air at this point, threatening to collapse any moment. But he nodded anyway, limping along with the others until they arrived at the mooncave.

Thorncloud bounded forward when the cats entered the dimly lit cave. "I've been expecting you. Winter.. Come with me." The moon cat took Winter by the scruff of his neck and dragged him through a small hole, where Owlflight guessed the moon cat would do his healing in peace.

"Bloodshed.." Rainpaw muttered as the others settled down. "He's a lot of trouble."

"You think?" Cloud spat.

"There's more danger to come. This is only the beginning.. You won't believe how many cats will die because of him." Rainpaw sighed. "I wish I could help, but there's only so much I can do.."

"It hurts. How could StarClan take Frost and Stone so close to one another? It's like.. They hate us." Cloud said sadly.

"StarClan doesn't hate you." Rainpaw assured her. "Shadeclaw does. Stone's death was the result of a careless kit.. Something that just happens sometimes. Frost.. I wanted to save her, Cloud, I did. But there's only so much you can do.. Bloodshed has always been several pawsteps ahead of me. I can't stop him."

Cloud gazed sadly at the apprentice. "I understand, Rainpaw. It must be hard, knowing when a cat is going to die but not even being able to do something."

Rainpaw nodded. "Winter will take long to heal. Do you want me to show you to MudClan's new camp?"

"So they did move camps! I thought so." Owlflight said, relieved. At least his birth clan hadn't been destroyed.. Yet.

"Follow me." Rainpaw said. Owlflight, Robin, Firepaw, and Cloud followed quickly. The five cats traveled far past the old MudClan camp, coming to a rest on the edge of the island. There, a cave rested in the side of a mountain jutting into the sky.

"I'll leave you here. I might have to help Thorncloud with Winter.." Rainpaw said, dashing away.

"Bye!" Owlflight called after him.

"It's you!" Spiderpaw appeared from the cave, purring with joy. "Oh, I have a lot to tell you.. The cave collapsed!"

"I know. May I see my kits?" Cloud demanded. Spiderpaw looked suddenly sad.

"They... Uh, actually, no. When the roof collapsed, the first rocks to fall landed on the nursery. I'm sorry.." She sniffed. "The three kits, Sunflower, and Sunflower's mate Jaytail were all crushed. Every other cat made it out.. But.." She trailed off.

Cloud stared at her blankly. Owlflight felt a stab of pity; she'd lost so much recently. "Oh, StarClan." Robin whimpered. "When will this end?!"
