We started to walk up another set of stairs. Haruhi became slightly upset because she's not able to find a quiet place to feed her brain.
"This place has four library rooms. You'd think one of them would be quiet."
"Im pretty sure there's some place to study. We just have to kept looking." I gave her a reassuring smile, trying to cheer her up a little. She weakly smiled back.
The hallways were clear. The only thing that could be heard were our footsteps and the distant voices coming from the walls.
I looked out to the view of the glass window. Birds flew by making me smile.
We were about to pass by another room, but I stayed behind because I did not hear any noise coming from it. So I assumed that it was abandoned.
"Haruhi. I think that this room is abandoned. I don't hear any noise coming from it." I stated as I pointed to the double doors.
"An abandoned music room. I guess this is the only place where we could get some piece and quiet." She opened the door and peeked inside.
A bright white light came from the doorway as she opened it more. The smell of roses filled my nose as I looked over Haruhi's shoulder. The door closed behind us.
"Welcome." Multiple voices said in unison.
"This is a host club?" Haruhi muttered as she backed up, slightly squishing my body against the door.
"Oh wow its a boy." Two voice's said. I shook my head.
"Hikaru, Kaoru. I believe this young man is in the same class class as you, isn't he?" Another voice asked. The twins in my class?
"Yeah. But he's shy. He doesn't really act very sociable. So we don't know much about him. Although today we found him talking to the new girl in our class." The twins' voices said.
"She was so pretty." One half of the two voices whispered. I put a hand on my heart and smiled. So sweet.
"Well that wasn't very polite. Welcome to the Ouran host club. Mr. Honor student." The third voice welcomed.
"What? You must be Haruhi Fujioka. You're the exceptional honor student we've heard about." A new voice said. Geez. How many people are in here?
I wiggled the door knob trying to pry it open, but it wouldn't budge.
"How do you know my name?" Haruhi asked, a little freaked out. I was still trying to open the stupid door. What do you have against me??
"Why you're infamous. It's not everyday that a commoner gains entrance into our academy." The voice said. Well that was rude.
"You must have an audacious nerve to work hard enough to fight your way into this school as an honor student, Mr. Fujioka." The same voice added.
"Well uh, thank you I guess."
"You're welcome. You're a hero to other poor people, Fujioka. You've shown the world that even a poor person can excel in an elite private academy." A blonde guy said from next to Haruhi. He put his arm around her. I prayed that he wouldn't notice me.
"It must be hard for you to constantly be looked down upon by others." He added. I turned around relaxed as I noticed that they weren't facing me.
"I think your taking this poor thing too far." Haruhi tried so hard not to push away from the blonde.
"Spurned, neglected. But that doesn't matter, now. Long live the poor. We welcome you poor man to our world of beauty." Idiot blonde said, overdramatically. Im going to name him idiot blonde.
"We're outta here." Haruhi stated as she turned around. I tried to open the door again.
I felt Haruhi's presence be pulled away. I was most likely now exposed to the boys that were in the room. I turned around to see that their attention was not on me. I took this advantage and ran under a table that was conveniently placed nearby.
"Hey! Come back here Haru-chan. You must be like a superhero or something. That's so cool." A new, more childish voice said excitedly. I aww-ed at the adorable child-like voice.
"I'm not a hero, I'm an honor student. AND WHO ARE YOU CALLING HARU-CHAN!?" I flinched at her tone. I haven't heard her yell like that so I didn't expect it.
"I never would've imagined the famous scholar would be so openly gay." The idiot blonde commented. I almost burst out laughing.
"Openly what?"
"So tell me what guys your into. Do you like the strong, silent type? The boy-lolita? How about the mischievous type? Or the cool type?"
"Uhhh. I uh. I-it's not like that we were just looking for a quiet place to study." Why did you mention 'we?'
"He keeps on mentioning the word we. Who else is with you Haruhi?" Someone asked.
"Or maybe. You're into a guy like me. What do ya say?" Idiot blonde asked, ignoring the previous question. I poked my head out to see what was happening. I saw that Haruhi was about to stumble into a wooden pillar that held a very expensive looking vase.
Time seemed to go into slow motion as the vase almost collided with the floor. I reacted on instinct and ran to catch the vase before it shattered.
I lowered my head in relief that the vase didn't break. I took breaths of relief but then screamed as a heavy weight broke the vase in my arms. The wooden pillar had fallen as well making the vase shattered and pierced my skin, ripping my shirts as well. The heavy weight of Haruhi on top of the pillar made the glass go in deeper. I was in too much pain to move or continue screaming. A few tears cascaded down my cheeks and fell into the small puddle of blood that was beginning to form. I started to tremble in pain. Someone take this thing off of me!!
I let out a wince as I felt the pillar being removed. I went onto my knees and cradled my arms carefully and gently. Droplets of red slid down to my fingers and began to drip off of them.
I brought my head up to glance at the people in the room. Six boys stood wide eyed and Haruhi began to tear up.
The tallest guy took me into his arms and began to run out of the room. We went into another room. Nurse's office perhaps.
Everything was a blur. To me, time began to go fast. I was swiftly out of my shirts and covered in a short sleeve. The nurses began to carefully pull out the glass out of my flesh. It hurt so much. The tears never did stop flowing, but I made no sound.
The pain was too much for me. After a while, darkness took over.
