Meanie, not just a ship

What's up with that?!

"Meanie?"

The silence was unbearable. They were playing a staring game at that moment. Stare...Wonwoo messed up. He knew he messed up without anyone telling him anything. The startled look in Mingyu's eyes told him all he needed. The younger wasn't expecting it at all.

"Meanie?"

What...?! What's meanie? Why is it so familiar but nothing is coming to my mind. Mingyu stared back at the older. Still confused at the entire situation. He totally did not expect that word to pop up now at all times. He thought maybe Wonwoo was thinking of someone, probably Jun? Or that maybe he was dreaming again and seeing him getting flustered at it and denying it was something Mingyu liked about the other. I mean it's cute.

The silence continued for a while and Wonwoo was not going to say anything, at least not now. He started fidgeting as Mingyu's gaze stood still. It was like as if the space revolved only around the two of them. It was as if they were not in the same van with all the other members. Well at least they didn't notice how Seungcheol was looking at them. Jihoon just gave Seungcheol a look and then glanced at the two before nudging the leader to leave them alone.

"Erm... Jihoon, did you hear what Wonwoo said just now?" Seungcheol whispered to the pink haired boy sitting beside him.

The two were sitting just infront of the two boys that now goes with the name 'Meanie' and probably that had been going on for a really long time, even efore Wonwoo's name was even revealed. Seungcheol knew that. He does go looking at the fans comments pretty often. There were many things that he shouldn't have searched about. Like what was 'meanie' for instance. M from Mingyu and eanie from beanie ( Wonwoo was called mr beanie before his name was announced ).

"You mean meanie?" The pink haired just gave him a straightforward answer, not like he didn't expected it.

"Ya. You do know what it means right?"

"Isn't it a ship name for the couple at the back?"

*(look at the author's note if you're confused)

"What couple?"

"Mingyu and Wonwoo of course."

"WHAT?!" Seungcheol exclaimed in shock.

Everyone in the van turned to look at him, puzzled. Seungcheol knew he messed up. Jihoon sighed before deciding he did not want to have anything to do with this and definitely not going to waste his energy entertaining his members.

"What's wrong hyung?" Seokmin asked him, obviously worried, hearing the shock in Seungcheol's voice.

The members waited for Seungcheol's response. Seungcheol gave a glance at the topic in question at the back. They were also taken aback by his sudden shout. Wonwoo however realized what Seungcheol was thinking. A few seconds later, Mingyu too. The hip-hop unit does have this bond with each other. Mingyu decided to deal with this matter first before the members got too bored and started bombarding the leader with more questions.

"S-coups hyung was just shock because Woozi hyung did aegyo at him!" He totally didn't plan to drag Jihoon in.

Poor Jihoon.

He had to deal with all the members' teasing after.

Seungcheol gave a slight chuckle as he looked at Jihoon empathetically. Jihoon swear he was going to swing his guitar at Mingyu when they get back. He hissed at Seungcheol before looking out of the window again. Fortunately, that settled the members down again and most of them got back to chattering again. Except for the three.

"See you at the. Dorm. Later." Seungcheol whispered at the two.

Wonwoo gulped.

Did he heard us? I'm doomed.

"Wonwoo-hyung, you haven't tell me about 'Meanie'." This time he lowered his voice and at the same time softened it.

Wonwoo almost swooned. Like his voice was already deep enough as it was.

"Lets talk about this later..." Wonwoo sighed before facepalming himself and proceeded to look at the window again.

Obviously not satisfied with his response, Mingyu whined and poked his hyung before he got bored of Wonwoo ignoring him. He still does not know what it meant. It would be better for him that way, at least for Wonwoo. He just brushed it off as some joke or pun about being called mean. Yup that's it. Wait...did he called me mean...?!

"WONWOO HYUNG!! HOW AM I MEAN?!"

...

"MINGYU, NOW IT'S YOU TURN TO SHOUT?! Can't I have some peace and quiet here?!" Seungkwan exaggeratedly exclaimed, puffing out a huge sigh.

"Seungkwan, it's never peaceful with you here." Hansol nonchalantly pointed out.

The whole van erupted into laughter as Seungkwan just pouted and crossed his arms together, totally not agreeing with Hansol's statement. Everyone was probably laughing at how these two would always pick up a quarrel in the middle of no where except you know...the guy at the back, right by the window with a stoic look.

He snickered at how dorky Mingyu was being. But that's what's cute about him.

He didn't know but he was falling harder.

He was falling for Kim Mingyu.

That's it for this chapter! There's not much meanie moments :( I couldn't think of any. But I added a little Jicheol moment ;) more meanie moments to come next chapter! Do continue to support this story ^^!
By the way, you might be confused when Jihoon said that they were a couple. To clear things up:
Firstly: they are not.
Secondly: It's just what Jihoon thinks ( "anyone can tell they are dating!!" )
Thirdly: they aren't a couple yet.
Note the 'yet'. ;)
