D.Malfoy's POV

I sat impatiently for Granger to come, she is taking a while to find a stupid little toad. Finally she came and this time beaming. I thought It was rather cute.

"Sorry that took awhile!" She apologized as she sat across me
"10 years later..." I chuckled-
"Yes...." She giggled back.
"Did you find the toad?" I asked changing the subject
"No, but I met Harry Potter!" she said enthusiastically

"Potter, aye?" I smirked- my stomach had a queasy feeling I didn't like.

The train slowed down
"Right then, First years come out! come on don't be shy!" I man shouted
I helped Granger get her lugage out and she helped with mine and we walked out together.

We walked towards a man shouting to the first years to come to him
"It's rather beautiful isn't it?" Hermione said looking around
"It's just a train station" I scoffed smirking at her and she looked at me with a frown
"You're just visually challenged...I feel sorry for you!" She smiled at me punching me playfully on the shoulders. 

"All right now, come this way to the boats!" The man instructed and we went into a dock
"Alright now, find yourself a partner!" He shouted 
I rose my brows to Granger and she nodded 
We went onto our boats and it started moving towards a castle!
"Hogwarts..." Granger whispered with a smile on her face- I honestly can't stop looking at her
She quickly looked at me and I turned to face another way
"You rather like to stare at me don't you?" She chuckled and smiled
"No!" I said defending myself.

I have to admit-I kinda like Granger, but I still know little of her. Father says that if I meet any mud bloods I must not like them and If they are half-blood he said that's okay but be careful, but if they are pure-bloods (like me) they are definitely okay!

We soon arrived at Hogwarts, I helped Granger out of the boat
"Why thank you Malfoy!" She said as she winked at me.
 All the first years stayed together and walked into the school.
"It's so big!" I said looking around
"Well, It is basically a castle" Granger said.

After walking a couple of steps we all stopped- I grabbed Granger by the hand leading her up at the front- "Careful Malfoy!" she giggled. Then a woman (I suspect one of the professors) came in front of the first years and held out a scroll.

"Welcome to Hogwarts! Now, In a few moments you will pass through these doors and join your class mates, but before you can take your seats you must be sorted in your houses. They are Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw-now while you're here, your house will be like your family-your triumphs will earn you points, any rule breaking and you will loose points! At the end of the year the house of the most points is the-" The woman said until Mr.Longbottom shouted:
"TREVOR!"- Everyone giggled and so did I but Granger nudged me to stop.
"Sorry...." He apologized
"The sorting ceremony will begin momentarily!" She finished as she walked inside a big hall, motioning us to stay where we are.

I looked at Potter and decided to be friends with him.

"It's true then! What they are saying on the train. Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts!" I said raising my voice so the other students can hear
"Not too loud Draco!" Granger whispered
"Not now Granger!" I whispered back, and I walked towards Potter and decided to introduce him to my new friend(s)
"This is Goyle and Granger-" I said starting whilst Granger curtsied
"-And I'm Malfoy..Draco Malfoy!" I finished holding my hand out for a shake, but a boy next to him chuckled when I said my name, I glared at him

"Think my name's funny do you? do I have to ask yours? Red hair..and a hand-me-down robe, you must be a Weasley!" I spat at him
"Draco!" Granger said tugging at my robe, but I just ignored her-
"You'll soon find out that some wizarding families are better than others, Potter. You don't want to make friends with the wrong sort!" I said turning to Weasley who looked sad (pathetic!)
"I can help you there!" I said holding my hand out again hoping he'll accept my offer
"I think I can tell the wrong sort for my self thanks!" Potter said- that really made me angry.

"Draco, come on!" Granger said grabbing my hand and lead me back to our position, then the professor came back
"We're ready for you now!" she announced. I let go of Granger's hand, only to find that she grabbed them again, I looked at her with a smirk and she looked a bit nervous so I squeezed it firmly for her to feel comfortable as we walk into the hall!

A/N
Okay, Okay...I know some people start at 6th or 7th year, but I decided I would make sequels to this book :) so Im going to finish in 6th year !! Honestly, you can see good things happening to Draco and Hermione- but when Draco finds out something about her...oooft things can get a  little harsh!!
