I woke up on the couch next to Oli. A patterned duvet had been placed over me carefully. Oli woke up by the sound of his phone going off. "I'm meeting a couple of friends for breakfast, do you want to come?" He asked. "Say no more, I'm gonna go get ready".
20 minutes later I was ready to meet Oli's friends. We were walking down a run down road that didn't look like it would lead anywhere. "Are you sure you know where we're going?" I asked concerned. "Well I have been here a couple of months longer than you" he said while laughing.
We were now at the meeting place, I couldn't see anyone waiting outside so we went and sat down and got approached by our waitress who handed us or menus. We ordered our food and drinks and did the same for Oli's friends. The door opened and my gaze was met with a tall blonde guy and what looked like his evil twin. Kidding!! He was just shorter, so maybe the sidekick? Anyway, they approached and greeted us, there was an obvious curiosity on who I was. When I turned around to face them, "I recognise you.. You're a YouTuber, right? Erm.. Karina?" One of them said "Oh yeah, I believe we watched your videos just last night" the other states. " Oh, er, yes I'm Karina, it's a pleasure to meet you...". "I'm Joe and this is Caspar" said the sidekick. "Pleasure" I said quietly while sitting down.
The new comers decided to go and order more food so I decided to take this opportunity to ask Oli more about them. "They're both youtubers just like me and you" he stated. He noticed I was slightly dazed and embarrassed about the fact that I didn't even know them. "Quite frankly I'm rather hurt you didn't know seeming as we're based on the same media platforms" Oli said jokingly. I just laughed. I was kind of glad that I didn't know them nor saw any of their videos. At least I can get to know them without already knowing them? If that even makes any sense. I looked outside the window I was sat next to and smiled. I'm so incredibly lucky, I thought to myself.
