Maki Nishikino's POV

I put my hands over my ears to drain the voices I'm hearing but it didn't work. Then, I heard screaming and crying in agony as I try to hide in the darkness. Just when I was about to run, something hit me with force that sent me flying. I tried to stand but I can't endure the pain I'm feeling right now. I started to feel dizzy and my vision is getting blurrier each second pass.

I desperately forced myself to crawl to get away from my pursuers. I felt a cold, sharp blade run through my body. I screamed in pain while the person or monster is laughing evilly. I saw my own body covered in blood and I'm starting to get unconscious. This is the end of the line for me. I can't survive anymore.

As I mutter one last cry, someone carried me away from the monsters. I don't know who he is and then the world became black.

Someone's POV

I saw a human with scarlet hair getting killed by a demon who uses his blade to kill. My eyes turned red and I used my vampire powers to teleport near that demon. When I got there, I sliced the demon in half. I looked at the bloodied human in front of me and without having second thoughts, I picked the human girl and flew away. I'm not supposed to help humans but this particular human possesses some strange powers.

I could still save her. I just need to make her a vampire like me. I know I'll be punished but no. I'll still save this girl. I want her to live.
