Penny's POV

The school grounds were huge. Even the word huge was an understatement. The grounds were filled with trees and Under every tree was a bunch of students talking and laughing with eachother. I wasn't used to this atmosphere at all. I used to live on the beach 2 months ago and I went to a small school on the shore. We were a very good school and we're actually one of the top schools. But that's over now. I'm in the city. Just as I was trailing off on my thoughts of life, a brown haired girl with glasses bumped into me and I dropped my books.
"I am So sorry!" The girl said with a lisp and a brittish accent. "I was just walking along and then the next thing I know-BAM. Straight into you." She said looking very upset. She leaned down and picked my my books for me.

"No problem." I said. "Thanks for picking up my books." She gave me a smile and then said, "hey, maybe you wanna hang out sometime? "
I quickly remembered the rules I had made for myself and number 1 specifically said Do not make friends.

I looked at her warily and then said, "Um. No. I-I I'm sorry. I'm not a loud to. I mean- I am, but according to me -um -  I'm not. It's complicated." She looked at me confused at first but then that confusion changed to a sad smile. "It's okay. I understand." She said, and then walked off. Why did I do that? I felt horrible. I needed friends, and I had just turned down someone who looked kind and nice. Stupid Penny. Stupid stupid Penny.

Luke POV

There she is. Penny. I wonder if she's fitting in. With that smile - she's probably made ten friends already! God Luke, you're an ass sometimes.

Well, at least you've still got your looks.

Some people may call me vain, but I just use those true words "at least you've still got your looks" to cheer me up. Out the corner of my eye I see Amber glaring at me. God she's probably still mad at me for being late this Morning. Why are girls so complicated? She's probably on her period. She acts like she always is. One day it's all just going to spill put of her. All wet and red and gross and -

"LUKE! GOD LISTEN TO ME!" I suddenly hear a voice shouting. Amber. "What?!" I say irritated. "Stop looking at the penny girls' ass. We're dating you bitch!" She screams at me. "Me the bitch?  Have you looked in the mirror?" I snapped back. Well, of course she's looked in the mirror. If she didn't then I would be worried.

She just glared at me and started to walk away.

"Amber we need to talk." I said seriously. She glared at me and then said "Luke,  whatever you say you can say to these people too." She gestured to the croud that had formed around us. "I'm sick if you being mean around me and no one else knows about it." She glared at me and she looked like a real witch. One with warts at the end of her nose. That's exactly Amber.

"Fine." I said. She wasn't going to like this.

"We're over." I said simply.

Her face was priceless. I heard gasps and mumbles from the croud around us but I didn't feel one bit sorry for her. Not one bit.

Her head snapped away from me and she turned to Penny who was in the middle of the crowd.

"Her." She said staring at Penny.

"It's her. She's the one who made you break up with me. She told you she would only be your girlfriend once you broke up with me. It's her. Shes a bitch."

I didn't know weather to rage or burst out laughing.
