Scarlet's povEvery story has a happy clique ending, like in fairytales where the princess marries her Prince Charming, I want mine to be different, but it isn't. Unlike the princess, I have faced heartbreaking challenges the past year. Like most teen romance stories mine started in my senior year.
I woke up to that annoying beeping sound that the small round object made, getting up I trudged to my ensuite. Clicking on random playlists, I got a shower. After about fifteen minutes I was done washing I moved into making my hair smell like coconut and honey. I was in the middle of drying my hair when I got a text from my crazy best friend, replying to her I finished my hair. Making my way to the wardrobe, I picked out a simple outfit.
Looking at the clock, I realized it was after eight. Rushing downstairs I headed straight for the kitchen to get a breakfast bar and continued my journey to Ashely's. By the time, I got there I was gasping for breath as I Spent most the trip running there. "Well that's the first Scar" she spoke running up to me. "Not only are you late but, you look different," my best friend said. The car journey was quick and fun.
We were talking about her trip to Paris while walking to the old oak tree to meet the others. There was four of us in the group; Ash short for Ashely, she has always been the one to love fashion and has always wanted to be a well-known fashion designer. Bella she was the shy one and always loved to read and talk about books, Alex (short for Alexandra) was loud and energetic. Then there was me, Scarlett Johnson, many people say that I'm a geek.
We all started to catch up until the dumb bell went signaling the beginning of senior year. The walk to tutor was alright. "Scar!" Thomas should bring me into a tight hug. He was also a very close friend of Jackson Pratt, my arch-enemy, so we never see each other. "Hey, Tommy. I have a question-" I was saying until he rudely interrupted "If this is about Newt shut up" he told me. Belle was reading the maze runner when we were in science, learning about Issac Newton. So since that day, we have always teased him because we all love the shipment of Newtmas.
"Hey Ash," I said while hugging her. I know what she's going to say next, so I start to give it to her "You know me too well Scar" Ash replied rolling her eyes. Comparing timetables we noticed we only had a couple of lessons together. "Great we only have one lesson" she huffed "I hate that your smart" she added while was laughing. We carried on talking about her trip to Paris. "How did Thomas manage to cope without Jackson?" I inquired. "Good question Scar. But I don't know I spent most my time with my aunt and helping her get the fashion show ready" she carried on talking about how amazing it was. Getting on with my English work, I noticed that time was going quickly. Just as I was finishing reading the endless words of Pride and Prejudice.
In every school, there is the clique group of the 'bad boys' ours so happened to be Jackson. He was an arrogant, narcissistic and vainglorious person. After time hearing about the same person, all the time gets rather tedious.
The screeching of the bell made the peaceful corridors turn into a crowded space. I slowly made my way to my locker when I walked into a hard object. "I'm so-" I was started to say as I looked into the eyes of the devil himself. "Scarlett be more... Will you watch where you're going" his voice snapped at the end. It was so weird that he was acting multi-faceted. "Well what do we have here," the horrible voice said. Deciding the best thing to do I made my way to Ashely.
I was walking towards the group when someone grabbed my arm, looking at the person I was shocked. "What Jackson?" I tried asking politely. "I just wanted to explain," he said getting straight to the point "You always want to clarify what you do yet you do the same thing as before. I'm sick of ways and most importantly your lies! Go back to your idiotic girlfriend!" I shouted at him walking away from yet another worthless conversation. "Hey guys," I greeted them, engaging me in their exchange.
When I got in I was greeted by my adorable puppy, Axel. "Scarlet Honey is that you?" my mother asked from the kitchen probably preparing lunch. "Yeah mom," I asked and walked in and picked up an apple. "As you know, we have to work on an important case. So we will have to leave for a few weeks," she informed me. "So I was going to let you stay at the Wrights. However, Mrs. Prat offered for you to stay there" she notified me again."But mom the Scarlet lives closer than The Prat's." I protested, and it was true I mean Jackson lives on the other end of town. " Oh they moved next door last week when you was at your aunt's" she relieved. "Oh okay. Is it still okay if I stop at Ash's house today?" I asked, "Of course honey dinner will be in an hour." I nodded and ran upstairs to start on some woeful homework.
Both my parents were successful lawyers and organized people, and my older siblings got high result's in their exams. Just like them, I've expected the same results. Unlike them, I haven't figured out what I want to do in the future. I guess I want a career in a creative job, but there are too many options. For my art homework, I had a brief that started with outlines so; I decided to make a manga page. Basing it of fairy tail and Black Butler I was proud of my work.
After that, I was looking over my doleful timetable. However, all together I'm happy with my schedule. Just when I was about to finish my plan, my mom shouted: "Dinner is ready." As I was walking downstairs, I could hear people talking and just though it was my mom on her phone or something until I saw my sisters long curled blonde hair and my brother's dark brown hair and cheeky smile. I was confused on what they were doing here because they were both going to college.
When I got to Ash's I walked in like always, it was strangely quiet; walking to Ash's room when I overheard Tommy's and Jackson's conversation. "I dare you." A British accent announced. "Who with?" the other questioned. "Scar," My boy best friend said. "No." he disagreed. "Jackson a dare is a dare you have to do it plus, it's only for thirty days," Tommy concluded.
The night went fairly quickly. The girls were playing truth or dare and managed to drag me into it (I never want to play cause this is a perfect way to reveal the truth) and I picked dare. " I dare you too... Play with the player" Ashely giggled " What?" I asked " I said hurt the player and destroy his entire reputation. You always say your going to do it but never do" she concluded.
