Chapter six - Betrayal

Scarlet's pov

"The duality of the villains and heroes is obvious. 1) the are always living there life in secret to protect their identity. 2) They want different things like the villains to want to take over the world and the heroes want to protect it. 3) what if the villains were once good-" I was in the middle speak for a homework assignment "You do know you're meant to talk about film characters right" that horrible voiced mocked "Says the person who gets below average. I will stick to the way I get my grades maybe you should take notes" I spoke "So I was saying the duality between heroes and villains is presented in Jekyll and Hyde. Jekyll wanted to separate the good and bad of people you could say it was a success (Jekyll was the good and Hyde was the bad) but he couldn't control it. Hyde was taking over Jekyll's body and becoming the dominant person. Jekyll was a well-respected, kind man who wouldn't hurt anyone but Hyde was the duality of Jekyll and was a murder, cruel and didn't have any good intentions." I read my speech on duality to the class. Kayleigh asked a question about how Jekyll and Hyde was a film.

After film studies, I took a small stroll to the old oak tree near the football field. I got my book out The Mortal Instruments and finished it in 10 minutes I only had a couple of chapters left. Getting up I made my way to see the football practice when the head cheerleader came up to me "I know we haven't spoken since that incident with your brother but are you serious about getting Kayleigh back" she asked, "Yeah I am why?" I replied, "She took Charlie from me I know she said stuff to him that isn't true I love him, Scarlet." She told me in compete honestly. "So how would you like to be a cheerleader, you will be with Ash and plus Kayleigh wants to be one so bad" she recommended. I looked over at her and nodded. "Sure and after all this, I will help you with Charlie"

After getting the details for the tryouts I spoke to Ash."Never knew you wanted to become a cheerleader." She dramatically said "It's our last year of school I wanted to try something new, bell," I told her."Scar we should head to the cafeteria ball is going in two minutes." She told be dragging her with her. She was taking about how she likes this guy and I know it wasn't Alec through the description. While she was rambling on I checked my phone for the first time today and saw I had 3 unread messages and 2 snapchats. Hey honey how are you? Anyway I know your in school just wanted to check up on you. I will send her a reply later. The last two you could probably guess I didn't bother to read what he put.

Lunch was uneventful so far and I just know that somethings going to happen. "Okay this is getting weird" Ash declared I couldn't tell you what she was going on about because I was too busy thinking of that day and what happened. "Ash do you know when you just got here and Scar wasn't herself?" I heard Belle ask "Yeah why was she like that I never asked before because I saw how depressed she was?" she asked her (she knew what happened but she didn't want to say) And that's what you call a good friend. "It's okay belle I will say the rest. On my 13th birthday their was a mini concert and Jax started to sing a song to me that was when Kayleigh kissed him." I said like it was in the past "Who's Jax" she questioned "It's in the past so it doesn't matter and the guy he was before is long gone." I told her truthfully.

We had a cover for history so we didn't really do much. I just sat and read a book to distract myself from Jackson and Kayleigh. Jodie and Abbie were working on an English project that I was helping on. "Head in a book Scarlet  what wrong got no friends. Well the ones you have excluding Tommy are sad "she sniggered at me.
Trying my hardest I heard a male voice speak up, probably Tommy "What's your favourite quote?" They asked "Don't have one books are crap" she shouted shrugging it off "That gathers then as John Green said "Maybe our favourite quotations say more about us than the stories or people we're quoting" and that's probably why your so fake." I agree but I didn't recognise the voice. "Robbie chose your friends wisely" her voiced warned. Robbie was in Jackson's group I can't never see why because he always tries to help people in sly. I've gotta admit he's hot, he had short blonde hair with blue eyes and his smile is cute. "I'm not trying to stand up for her in just saying books are great and the quote is true" he mumbled
