When it was 1 in the morning, he finally fell asleep, covering up for the night, but he had a dream, well it was more of a memory.
He dreamed of a long forgotten woman, one who loved him so long ago, what happened to her is a mystery, but what happened between them wasn't.
He dreamed of watching the event of her, slamming his fist on the table, and screaming something about money to her, and her leaving the house, and as he watched he teared up, and tried not to watch, but something grabbed his head and forced him to watch every single moment, until Scrooge, being in his mid fifths, head butted the figure and then heard a pitching scream, and a white face, with no eyes or mouth, bright and blinding appeared before him...
He then saw his life flash before his eyes, he saw a man who he was apprenticed too, who he put out of business long ago, taking his money, but he forgot his name, and so did history.
He saw Jacob Marley's Severed head on the floor yet again, it was not only a stab to the chest, information was withheld, his whole head was cut off, the stain was still on the floor to this day.
He then saw his school, how he sat there on his own, and watched the years go by as most Christmas's he spent there.
But it all came back to her face... Her name never came up, none of them did except Marley's... But what he did too her was never forgotten. The blinding light still held him and made him watch. It felt him with regret, but after seeing this, he became enraged and grabbed the light, which was solid, and in the shape of a man, threw it on the floor, and tried to pull his sheets over it, and put out the light, the figure tried to escape but didn't succeed, it stopped moving...
He sat upright in his bed sweating, crying. He gripped the sheets of his bed, and shook. He shook his head and said "Humbug".
But as he did, a loud laugh was heard in the other room, he got up, not wanting to fall asleep again.
It came from the next room... next room? There was never another room, but there it was, a door.
He opened it, slowly, as he walked in, it was a large room, a cinema room to be precise.
There was a certain seat, it had a drink and popcorn next to it, he sat next to it, and began to eat and drink.
The screen suddenly came on, and Scrooge jumped.
