The new addition - pierce the veil adoption story

Chapter 9

*Time skip, 2 years later*
Husky's pov

I woke up to a loud bang in the kitchen downstairs, I looked around my room and saw that Tyler was sleeping in my floor. I looked at the time and it was 3:24am. I heard more noises and decided to wake Tyler up.

"Tyler, wake up please I'm scared" I said while shaking him softly. "Tyler please get up. There's someone downstairs" He opened his eyes and got up out of the floor, grabbing my hand as another sound came from the kitchen.

"Come on, let's go get Vic." We walked out of my room quietly, and across the hall to dad's bedroom. His door was cracked open, and we opened it a little more just so we could slip into the room.

"Daddy wake up. I'm scared" I say while climbing onto his bed. Tyler was still standing beside it watching the door.

"What's wrong pumpkin?" He said, but then another loud bang came from downstairs. He jumps out of the bed and grabs a bat from beside his nightstand.

"You two stay up here and lock the door. If someone tries to get in without knocking 3 times, hide in the back of the closet" He said and walked out of the room closing the door. Tyler locked it and we sat on the bed. We learn loud yelling and things being smashed on the ground.

"What a great way to start your 13'th birthday off with right munchkin?" Tyler chuckles softly. He wraps his arms around me and my shaking body. Tyler has been like my older brother ever since we met. Even though I have some feelings for him, I could never tell him. He turned 16 a few months ago and we had a huge party for him. Dad would never agree on letting us date with the age difference.

Tyler shot up off the bed when he heard 3 knocks on the door. He unlocked and opened it and let Vic in.
"I called the cops. They're on the way, the guy that was down there ran off but there's a lot of broken glass so I don't want you going down there and getting hurt." He says to us. "Tyler, I also called Johnnie and let him know what happened."

*time skip/noon*

Dad is getting ready to go somewhere with the band. I think he forgot about my birthday. He hasn't spoke to me much today after what happened this morning. He cleaned the house up after the cops left. Tyler left around 11 saying he had stuff to do. I know he didn't forget it was my birthday, since he mentioned it this morning. I wonder what was going on with dad..

"Husky come down here please!" I heard my dad yell. I got off my bed and walked down the steps and into the living room where my dad was standing. "I'll be back soon. Tony has offered to stay here with you so he will be over in a few minutes." He said as he walked out the door.

A few minutes later, turtle came into the house.
"Knock much?" I laughed at him. He smiled widely and came and sat on the couch beside me.

"We're gonna watch Star Wars!" He yells like a child. I giggled at his actions and went to put the movie on. I walked back over to the couch and got a blanket and put it on us and cuddled into his side as the movie started.

A few minutes into the movie I started to fall asleep on Tony's chest. He didn't mind much so I let myself drift off.

When I woke up I was alone in the living room. It was really quiet. I got up and turned the tv off and checked the time, 4:12pm. I wonder where dad was. Tony must have left. I got up and walked into the kitchen when all of a sudden there was confetti thrown everywhere and a bunch of people standing there yelling "SURPRISE"

"Happy 13th birthday babygirl, I didn't forget. I wanted it to be a surprise" Dad says while giving me a hug. "Thank you daddy" I say while hugging him back.

After eating the cake we decided to open my gifts. I opened Johnnie's first, which was a plush pug and an iTunes card. Next I opened Bryan's, and he got me one of his shirts and some new vans that had Disney characters on them.

I opened Bring me the Horizon's next, everyone of them got me something small. There was an iTunes card, a necklace that had "We all love you!" engraved on it, some new headphones, and some of their new band shirts.

Then I opened Sleeping with Sirens gift, there was another iTunes card, a "Kellic shirt", some new black converses, and multiple colors of hair dye.

Then Black Veil Brides, they got me some black eyeliner, a shirt that had "Purdy Girl" on it, and a ring with my birthstone in it.

I saved Pierce the Veils for last, they all got up and handed me separate wrapped boxes. I opened Tony's first, and it was a big stuffed Turtle and a ring that had "turtle has your back" engraved inside it.

Mike was next, he got me a Supernatural throw blanket and an iTunes card. Then Jamie, inside his box was a shirt with his face on it and one of his CD's.

Last was dads, he handed me a little box. I opened it and inside was a chain and a dogtag, and engraved on it was "I love you babygirl" and the date dad adopted me. I looked up at him with tears in my eyes as he smiled at me and showed me his, that had "Husky Pierce Fuentes" and the date he adopted me on it.

"Thank you daddy, I love it" I said while hugging him. "You're welcome sweetie, I'm glad you like it. But there's more then that." He says smiling.

I went around and hugged all the guys and thanking them for what they got me. Then dad brought out a big box and told me to open it.

Inside was a lot of new shirts and pants. I have an obsession with clothing, and I was in heaven. I looked at them all one by one. There was some black leggings, patterned leggings (not the kind of ugly patterned), black, red, lime green, purple, blue, gray skinny jeans. Some black ripped skinny jeans and some red ripped ones. Just some regular skinny jeans. And there was some new band shirts that haven't been put in stores yet from different bands I liked. And at the very bottom there was a shirt with a picture of dad and I on it when he first adopted me with some of his song lyrics on the back of it.

I loved everything everyone got me. I ended up putting all the rings everyone got me on the dogtag chain so I'll always have them with me. I loved my big band family, and I know they love me.

Just as everyone was about to leave, Tyler showed up with a box in his hand.

"Im sorry I'm late, I had to go gift shopping" He says with a big grin on his face. He hands me the tiny box and inside it was a small ring and a little piece of paper. I opened the paper and it said, "will you be my girlfriend?"

I looked up at him and he was blushing and smiling, I looked back at dad and he nodded his head at me. I took the ring out of the box and looked at it, inside it had Tyler's full name. I slipped it on my finger and looked at Tyler.

"Yes Tyler. I'll be your girlfriend" I said smiling. I ran to him and hugged him. He picked me up and spun me around.

"Dad are you okay with this?" I asked looking at him.

"Tyler talked to me about it. I'm completely okay with it. I trust him, you two have known each other for 2 years now and he's never done anything to hurt you or put you in any kind of danger. And the age difference doesn't bug me." He said while smiling.

I hugged him and thanked him. Then hugged everyone else and told them thank you and bye since they were leaving.

Today has been a really good day. I'm glad I have my band family.
