Elizabeth's pov
I woke up in our small camp. The sun had just barely risen and a pain had formed in my hip.
"Ugh I've slept on a rock again?!" I whispered as I tossed the rock out of my tent.
"OUCH!" Someone said from outside as I heard the thunk of the rock hitting someone.
A second later my fellow grey warden Alistair poked his head into my tent and I couldn't help but giggle as his gorgeous and tanned face appeared in the door with a look of utter confusion on his face. His dirty blond hair was spiked up in the front as always, his blue eyes calm and cool, and his dazzling smile appeared as he saw me.
"Hitting people with rocks now huh?" Alistair teased.
"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to hit you with it. I didn't know that you were out there!" I quickly exclaimed.
Alistair shook his head and laughed. "It's alright I was just making sure you didn't do it on purpose." He said calmly.
He crawled back out of my tent and stood up outside. I held my breath as he walked away. When his footsteps faded I gasped in relief. "Why does he have to be so damn adorable?" I asked myself.
I quietly picked up my blue and gold satin robes and changed into them. I put back in the small braid on the left side of my head and looked into my mirror.
My brown hair was shoulder length with the small braid to my left. My blue eyes looked tired from the endless hours of the nightmares. My face looked as lovely as ever, I guess, Liliana always seems to think so. I put on my small waist bag and picked up my weirwood staff and strapped it onto my back and headed out of my tent.
Outside Alistair was working on making breakfast, with some help from Liliana and Whynn. Morgan was sulking over by her tent and staring into the fire. Sten was, well just standing watch, I think. Zevran was flirting with all the girls, as usual. Oghren was drunk, as always. My dog Max was sitting outside my tent keeping me safe as it was his first instinct.
I walked over to Alistair accompanied by Max. "Alistair I'd like to ask you something." I said.
"Sure, what is it?" Alistair asked with a questioning look.
"Growing up in the Chantry did you ever...?" I asked quietly.
"Ever... What? Had a nice pair of shoes? " Alistair asked.
"You know what I mean." I said.
"I'm afraid I don't know what your asking about." Alistair said mockingly.
"Now your just making fun of me." I said crossing my arms.
"Oh you should know that I would never do that. Especially to a beautiful lady such as yourself." Alistair said with a wink.
"You... You think that I'm... Beautiful?" I asked feeling heat race to my cheeks.
"Um... Yes. I do think that you are in fact very beautiful." Alistair said while his cheeks quickly turned red.
"Well, has anyone ever told you how handsome you are?" I asked.
"No... Not unless they wanted something from me. Why are you saying it?" Alistair asked.
"Because I think you are very very handsome." I said moving just a little closer to him.
"Well.... Thank you... I... I don't know what else to say." Alistair said his cheeks growing even redder.
"Hey Elizabeth! Can you came and help me dear!" Whynn exclaimed all of a sudden.
I sighed and looked up into Alistair's eyes and smiled "Well I've got to go." I said with sadness hanging onto my words.
"Yeah." Alistair said.
I slowly walked away from Alistair and headed for where Whynn was standing.
Whynn, the older Mage from the circle of magi, was waiting for me patiently as I approached.
"Elizabeth dear, I'm afraid your dog has stolen one of my socks and refuses to give it back." Whynn said with her hands on her hips.
I put my head in my hands and sighed. "Maybe he just likes your socks." I suggested.
"Possibly, but I need that sock all of my other ones are dirty." Whynn said.
"Alright... I'll see what I can do." I said.
Max was over by my tent digging in the dirt. "Hey boy! Did you steal Whynn's sock?" I asked.
Max looked up at me and barked.
I looked into the hole that Max had dug and found Whynn's slightly chewed sock. "No more stealing the nice old lady's socks ok?!" I scolded.
Max whined and layed down in his hole that he dug. I bent down and pet Max then I turned and went back to Whynn.
"Here's your sock Whynn." I said flatly.
Whynn smiled and took the sock. "Thank you dear. Now how are things between you and Alistair? If you know what you mean." Whynn asked with a small smile.
I looked at her with a look of shock etched onto my face. "What... What do you mean?" I tried to recover.
"Oh darling, I see the way he looks at you. He crazy about you, and you obviously feel the same way." Whynn said nudging me. "Don't you think so Liliana?" She added.
Liliana stepped out into view with a grin on her face. "Why yes! While you two were talking earlier I though that you two would surely kiss. So Whynn interrupted." Liliana explained with her Orlais accent.
"So let me get this straight, you brought me over here to interrupt our conversation?" I asked crossing my arms.
"Oh look who it is." Liliana said as Alistair walked into our group.
