'' Brandon, why did you quit the cadets? You don't do anything nowadays! You just stay in your room playing random games on your computer . You're a nice young man, go to the park or go out with your friends! ''
That's how the whole thing started, Serena's little brother Brandon's in his second year of secondary (High school in Quebec, Canada), to the outsiders he appears like a antisocial guy since he's not really an outgoing person. Heck, even to his own family, he appears that way, looks like a normal thirteen year old but doesn't act like one whatsoever. The thing is Serena loves her brother so much that she'd do pretty much anything to make him happy. That night at the table when their aunt Stella said that sentence changed Serena's life forever. Because right after that, Brandon answered that he'd go back only if his sister was to join him on this painful and ridiculous adventure that he didn't want to do but accepted just to make the three woman sitting in front of him happy, his mom, his aunt and his sister. Of course Serena said yes, she wanted him to have a normal life and being outgoing, not the antisocial guys he seemed to be. With that decision made, their mom made sure to tell them that they'd go and do their inscription on the Friday to come. As much happy Serena was to make her little brother happy, that decision was also a burden to her since it was her first year of college and since she finished practically everyday at six P.M she'd have to quit her singing lessons that usually was every Tuesday and the cadets every Friday. She had to choose between one of them and since she was so used to the beautiful life of going on tour every summer, sleeping at bunch of expensive hotels, her mom wanted her to try something new , to get out of her comfort zone. Sadly she accepted to go to the cadets and quit her singing classes. It made her happy to know that she'd be trying something new, she'd be sleeping in the woods to learn the basic about survival, she'd learn how to shoot, she'd go to a camp during the summer and most importantly that she'd be meeting new people and making new friends. She liked making new friends, plus her high school friends were so busy with college that they didn't have time to go out. Basically joining the cadets was a good idea!
On that famous Friday, she finished school at four and went straight home. Her best friend from her college couldn't believe that she was actually going through with that decision. For Leona it was impossible for her to wrapped her head around the idea of Serena joining the cadets, she didn't have anything against it, because her own little brother was an air cadet. Serena was so different, not a cadet kind of girl, she was a dancer and singer. She devoted her time to studying, dancing and singing not thinking about air planes and stuff. Leona also found it weird, because her best friend was loosing her Friday nights to go to the cadets when she usually would've stayed with her in Montreal shopping, go to the movies or just stayed at school studying. She supported her even if she didn't quite understand the reasons of the decision. That Friday, Serena got home at around six o'clock and excited for the new adventure to come. Her brother on the contrary just wanted to run away and come back later so that he wouldn't actually have to go trough the plans of him being a cadet, since he tried it last year and hated it. Their mom practically dragged him out of the house since he kept whining and complaining, Serena on the other hand was encouraging him, telling him how good of an opportunity it'd be for the both of them and that she'd be right next to him. The drive to there was painful for everyone in the car, Brandon was complaining, Serena was trying to encourage him but got irritated by his lack of interest and the mom was screaming and trying to calm both of her children. Serena just felt angry, she gave up singing for him and that's how he was re-paying her. As soon as they got there, their mom told them to get in while she parked the car. Brandon got in first followed by his sister. By the door was sitting a young man around Serena's age. She instantly recognized the face but not the name. They went to school together, she met during their senior year when both of them were taking enriched level math every Saturday morning. She spoke to him vaguely during these Saturdays, since he was in Serena's friend Candice group and she used to go see her during her breaks. They weren't friends nor acquaintances, to be honest they never had a decent conversation to each the only times they do they would just say hi ans smiled at each other. But now that Serena knew he was a cadet and since she was planning on joining their squadron she thought it'd be nice to actually start talking to each other.
'' Hey you...!'' She said, while trying to remember the guy's name.
'' Finn, my name's Finn and hey to you too'' he chuckled, Serena felt bad for not knowing his name when they attended to the same high school for five years.
'' I'm sorry! I'm usually good with names but i just don't think we spoke enough to know each others name. I'm Serena by the way.'' She said with and apologetic smile.
'' It's fine and i already knew who you were when you first walked in! So you're joining us ?''
'' Yes, actually i'm here to support my little brother.''
''aw, how cute. You have a great sister.'' He said to her brother standing there watching them awkwardly and waiting impatiently for their mother to walk in .
'' I wouldn't say so, but i'll give you the benefit of doubt since it's obvious that you guys don't know each other that well. Don't wanna disappoint you mate. '' Brandon said and earned a laugh from Finn and a glare from his big sister.
'' Well i'm happy that you both are joining us!'' he smiled widely and at that same moment their mom walked through the doors telling them she couldn't find a parking spot. Serena quickly waved goodbye to Finn before entering with her family members the room that said Administration . Serena was the first to do her inscription followed by her brother, their mom signed a few papers since none of them were eighteen yet, Serena was actually turning seventeen two days after that same Friday. Both of them received the squadron's shirt and said goodbye to the captain since they weren't planning on staying any longer. Their mom went to the washroom while Serena talked a little bit more to Finn. After their mother finally got out of the washroom, Serena bid Finn goodbye and they left. On their way back home, Miranda , their mom started saying how proud she was of them for making such a good and mature decision. Serena was so happy that a small decision like that one had made her mom so happy and proud. Everything was going well, the car ride was pleasant but it was probably because Brandon wasn't talking whatsoever.
'' Euhm Serena just wanting to say that you're on your own sis, i'm definitely never going back to that place!'' And that's how the fun started!

Hey guys, it's my first romance story on wattpad, i usually write fan-fictions but i didn't feel like writing another one since i can't even continue writing the others cause of my lack of imagination. But with that story it's going to be different, this story's going to have a lot of drama, heartbreak etc. I can really feel my passion growing each and every time i type a word for this first chapter so please don't be a silent reader and tell me what you think. It may not be a fan-fiction but i'm open to suggestion about the characters like if you think that celebrity will fit this character tell me don't be shy! I'll try to update every chance that i get since i'm a college student , well actually i'm on way of becoming a nurse YAY! Sorry about the first chapter, it was a little short but it's just the introduction i'll write longer chapters soon enough!
