Chapter 5: Problems

Goku's P.O.V

I stood there, a mix of happiness and surprise running through me at Vegeta's words. I couldn't believe he was being so nice to me, but I guess he has always been nicer to people he loves... I didn't even know what to say back, so I just stuttered out, "R-Really, you... you actually love me?!" He looked up at me, and I saw a genuine smile on his face. He simply nodded his head, and wrapped his arms around me. I smiled back, and picked him up bridal style. He looked startled for a minute, but after he looked at my face he seemed to calm down. I flew him up to the tree we had been standing under, and set him down on a branch. Then, I sat down next to him, and rested my head on his shoulder. I felt him wrap his arm around me, and I glanced up at him before saying, "Vegeta... what does this mean for us?"

Vegeta's P.O.V

I looked down at Kakarot, he seemed nervous about having asked that question. I raised an eyebrow at him and responded, "What do you mean?" I felt his nervousness grow as he said, "Well, um I-I guess what I mean is..." he paused for a bit before continuing, "What are we, are we just friends or-or uh.. umm..." He trailed off. I tilted his chin up and gave him a quick kiss before saying, "If you're asking about whether we're together or not, then the answer is yes." I paused, then added, "Of course, I'm not sure what we'll do about that harpy of yours." He smiled at me, then replied, "She probably doesn't want me back anyway hehe.." I ran my fingers through his hair, and the second I stopped, his phone rang. He gave me an apologetic look before answering it, and I could clearly recognize the voice that yelled, "GOKU!!! GET YOUR ASS HOME RIGHT NOW!!!!" He held the phone away from his ear, and Chi-Chi hung up. When he looked back at me, his eyes were glossy, and his hair looked duller than it had a moment ago, it even looked like all of the color had drained out of his face. I suddenly felt pain at seeing him like this, and I pulled him over so that his head rested on my chest. I wrapped my arms around him and said, "Go back, just for now, and do what you must, soon you'll be free from that harpy and you can stay with me..." I paused and added, "You'll be fine, I promise, and if anything happens to you... she will have to deal with me." He nodded, and was about to fly off, but I pulled him down for one more kiss, and then let him go.

3rd Person P.O.V

Goku started the flight back home, and smiled every time he thought of what had just occurred between him and the saiyan prince. Little did he know what Chi-Chi had waiting for him when he got home... Vegeta on the other hand was worried sick, he knew Chi-Chi was dangerous, he just hoped that Goku would be safe.
