Do I Really Have To?

I groaned.

The party is still continuing. Lex begged me to stop the experiment. I hesitated at first. But, he gave me the puppy dog eyes (That doesn't mix well with black skin and blue hair). I finally agreed, and now he's roaming in the party.

Me, in the other hand, locked myself in my room. I'm trying to make my robot work while eating a bucket of ice cream.

Suddenly I hear a knock. I groaned and got up. The spoon is still on my mouth. I walked to the door and open it.

Like I inspected, Lena stood outside. She holds her laugh. I just put on an irritated look and finish my ice cream.

"What?" I said holding my spoon

"Nothing" she snickered "Why won't you come down? Are you sleeping?"

I pulled out the spoon "Because it's that crowded and-" I quickly shut my mouth. No she can't know about that.

"And what?" she put on a questioning look.

"Nothing"

"Oh come on, Vera, teeeeelllll meeeee" she pleaded.

"I already said it's nothing!" I said. I can feel a little blush on my face.

"Oh really?" she smirked

"Yes" I said quickly.

'Then why is there's a blush in your face?" her smirk became wider.

I blush "Fine, I'll go to the stupid party. Just don't ask a thing about this again" I said walking to the stairs.

"Vera! You're no fun!" she catch up to me.

I let a sigh of relief. Lena can't know about this. Not now or forever.

We walked down the stairs. Lena gave me a nervous look. Is she nervous about something?

"Lena, what is it?" I said bluntly to her.

"What?" she gave me a weird look.

"I know you're nervous about something. What is it?"

she takes a deep breath "Promise not to tell anyone"

I nodded. What is this 'secret' thing?

"Well" she glance at something. Or someone. Then a grin escaped her face "first you need too sing for me"

"wait, what?!" before I can complain she drag me downstairs quickly.

"Everyone!" she shouted to the microphone "My lovely sister Vera here would like to sing a song!"

My face is red as a tomato. She smirked and handed me the mic. That sneaky devil....

"Go on and sing!"

I snapped back. Oh yeah, I'm interested middle of the room, with many people watching, and I need to sing a song.

I slowly got the mic near my mouth. Somehow, I can see Lex smirk on the corner of my eyes. That idiot....

I close my eyes and began to sing

I can hear a loud cheer from Lena. I slowly open my eyes. All I see is dozen of people staring at me. What did I do?
