~ Nialls POV ~
We sat in the corner booth for about thirty minuets talking before our food came. She had an aura that drew me to her. I didn't know what it was but it wasn't just her outward beauty, it was the way her eyes lit up when she talked about her family and friends back in her hometown. She had more to her than just what was on the outside. We talked about our favorite movies and the same stuff you normally ask when you are getting to know someone, but instead of the old one-word answers she had a story behind everything.
We stopped talking for a minuet while I checked my phone and I realized she was singing the words to Kiss You. I smiled and watched her mindlessly singing, eyes closed, mouthing every word to the song. She opened her eyes.
"What?" She snapped out of her somewhat trance.
"You like this song?"
"Yeah I know it's that crazed boy band but yeah I like this song. To be honest I don't give a flying monkey about who's singing it. I couldn't tell you their names or how old they are, if they came up to me and slapped me I would punch the daylights out of them."
I mentally let out a sigh in relief. I didn't want to be liked just for being in One Direction. I hated the fact I can never tell who my real friends are because I was famous. That's why I don' t open up as much when I meet someone because I'm afraid they are just being nice to get fame for themselves. People are selfish. Thankfully, now I don't have to worry about Georgia, she doesn't even realize who I am.
"Food!" I screamed. The waitress almost jumped out of her skin.
She came back twenty minutes later and laid the check on the table. Georgia snatched it before I could even think of what she was doing.
"No, I told you I was going to make it up to you for paying for my lunch the other day."
"Yeah but I didn't want you to make it up to me in this way." I tried to convince her.
"In what way were you expecting me to pay you back Mr. Niall?" I don't like it when a girl pays for stuff when she is with a guy. It doesn’t seem right to me.
"Dessert! Duh." I grabbed the check.
She looked like a deer caught in the headlights, her piercing blue eyes staring blankly at me. She almost looked hurt and offended.
"You OK?"
"You have a lot of nerve!" She started to get up from the table. I gently grabbed her wrist and turned her towards me.
"Are you really that upset about the ticket?" She flicked her wrist out of my grasp.
"You really think I'm going to go home with you for 'dessert'" She made the air quotation sign when she said the word dessert. It reminded me of that friends episode when Joey kept using that wrong.
"I didn't mean it like that Georgia! For Gods sake is that what you think I'm after?" I was a little upset she thought of me to be that type of guy.
"Isn't that what all men are after? All you ever do is think of yourselves. I'm tired of being tossed around like I'm the old Barbie doll that no one wants." She had tears welling up in her eyes that she was trying to hide.
"I would never do that to you. I literally meant dessert." I searched her face, her cheeks flushed pink and she looked doubtful. "You know, there's this little bakery right around the corner we could walk to."
"You’re lying." She accused me.
I held out my pinkie "I pinkie swear."
She looked at my hand and then back at me like I was kidding.
