Chapter 1: The incident.
The small boy was carried through a dense forest on someone’s shoulders. Having had no conscious through the journey, his eyes slowly fluttered open, showing foggy images of his surroundings. His black hair slumped over his forehead, hiding his eyes. As he began to awake from his awkward slumber the back of his head throbbed painfully and his jaws were clenched tightly to not give away himself being awake. His vision finally came back to him. The boy’s arm fell limply in front of his face. All he could see was the back legs of the person carrying him and the ground he was walking on. He closed his eyes and saw flashes of yellow, something that shouldn't be familiar. The boy drifted off to the drone of the strangers mirthful humming, the thudding of the footsteps against the forest floor and heavy, panting breath and all around him faded to black.
He stirred to the sound of unknown footsteps amongst the darkness of his closed eyes. As his thoughts and mind returned he began to notice other footsteps around him. Chatter of other children seeped into hearing. Then his brain clicked. He was going to school.
What happened to me? Why am I so sore? He thought as consciousness slipped through his fingers. The young boy opened his eyes yawning. He did not recall the events of the past three days. As his vision adjusted he noticed, that he was at school. Dad must have carried me to school, he thought. He remembered his name now. Ian, Ian Shaw. He also remembered his friends, teachers and family. But, he didn’t remember experiencing the memories he now recalled, it felt as if they had been forged.
