Spells, Pillows, and Ears

At dinner there was a debate on whether Harry should be allowed in this thing called "The Order" or not. Whatever that's supposed to mean. I was asked to leave the room before the shouting started thank goodness. When everyone was done with dinner I was introduced to everybody. And boy, were there a lot of people to get introduced to. There are like what, six or seven Weasleys! And get this, there are two more.  But one's in Romania working with dragons and the other is working at Gringotts (a wizard bank apparently) in Egypt. Well according to Ron, anyways. After I've been introduced to everyone, we're all released to go back upstairs. I go back into the room Harry, Ron, and Hermione were in with all three of them. Hermione gets her spell books out and tries to teach me some spells.

"Hermione, I was lucky when the levitation charm worked for me. Besides, I haven't got a wand," I tell her.

"You can use mine until we go to Diagon Alley for our school things," said Hermione.

"And when will that be?" I ask her.

"Once we get our school supplies lists from Hogwarts," she tells me. "Now take this," she says holding out her wand.

"Fine," I grunt as I snatch the wand out of her hand.

"Now let's start with the basics," she says as she pulls a feather from I don't know where. "Try the levitation charm again. Remember Wingard-"

"Yeah, yeah I know the spell," I say as I point the wand at the feather.

"Do you know the wand movement?" asks Ron. I lower the wand.

"Wand movement?" I ask him.

"Yeah, for the levitation charm its swish and flick," he tells me.

"Nice to know you've learned something from our past four years of school," says Hermione. "Even if it is from the first year," she adds under her breath. Ron, having heard that last part, scowls at her. Harry laughs until Ron gives him the evil eye and he abruptly stops. I roll my eyes and raise Hermione's wand to point at the feather once more.

"Wingardium Leviosa," I say as I did the wand motion Ron had described. The feather began to float. I kept the wand steady and rose it higher and higher like I had done with my hands. The trio watched in amazement as I brought the feather back down.

"I told you you could do it," Hermione says proudly.

"Have you got any others I could try?" I ask her. She flips through her books and comes up with various spells that I ace on the first or second try.

"You're a natural," says Harry.

"Stop, you're embarrassing me," I say to him.

"No, really," he assures me.

"Oh my gosh, I'm blushing," I say back. So you know what he does? He gets up and starts whacking with a pillow. So I jump onto his back.

"Get off of me!" He yells.

"Ron, Hermione, help me," I yell to the other two. They both get up and start whacking harry with pillows. I jump off of Harrys back and join in.

"It's three against one Harry, you'll never win!" I say to him.

"We'll see about that. FRED, GEORGE A LITTLE HELP IN HERE!" he shouts. Fred and George come in, realize whats going on and joins Harry's side. Soon enough there's feathers everywhere.

"Oh my goodness," I say, looking around at the room (which by the way is covered in a layer of feathers. We're all standing around with feather-less pillows in our hands. Ginny bursts into the room.

"I think we're going to need a few extra pillows," says George. We stand in silence, then all begin to crack up.

"I've got this, step aside, I've learned a thing or two from Hermione," I say as I wink at her. She hands me her wand and I go around to each empty pillow using the repairing charm on them sending them all back to normal. When I'm done everyone applauds and I bow and blow kisses.

"That's my girlfriend up there!" says Fred.

"Shut up, Fred!" I say to him. The others just laugh.

"What now?" says Ginny.

"Wanna listen in on their conversation downstairs?" asks George.

"They're sure to hear us if we go down there," says Hermione.

"Who said anything about going downstairs?" says George mysteriously while wriggling his eyebrows. We all look at the twins, puzzled.

"Just meet us at the top of the staircase in two minutes," says Fred. We all nod. In two minutes we all meet at the top of the staircase. I notice a long line of what seems to be elf heads in glass cases hung along the wall. I cringe at them then turn to Fred and George.

"So, how are we supposed to hear them from all the way up here?" I ask him.

"With these," says Fred as he pulls out a very realistic looking ear attached to string attached to another, smaller ear out of his pocket.

"I don't understand," says Hermione.

"They're extendable ears, we lower one ear down there, it can pick up what they're saying and transmit it up here," says Fred.

"Wicked, how'd you do it?" says Ron.

"We would tell you, why?" says George. Ron scowls at him. Fred lowers one of the ears down to the lower level. We all get quiet and listen closely.

"Yes but what are we supposed to do about the prophecy?" we hear Sirius say.

"I don't think there's much we can do, Sirius. We haven't a clue where it is, and even if we did, you would think it would be heavily guarded," says Lupin.

"How do we even know for sure if there is a prophecy?" asks Tonks.

"We must trust Dumbledore, if we can't trust him, then we can't rust anyone at all, now can we?" says Lupin. Suddenly the line is fuzzy and I can hear a noise that sounds like a cat. We all look down to see an orange cat messing with the extendable ear.

"Down Crookshanks, down!" Hermione whispers as loudly as possible.

"Is that you're cat?" I ask her.

"Yes," she replies hastily. The cat manages to pull he ear down to the ground and it lands with a thump. Mrs. Weasley comes out of the room she was in and looks up at us.

"WHAT ARE YOU ALL DOING?" she shouts up at us. We hear a loud pop and Fred and George are gone. "OFF TO BED, ALL OF YOU!" We all rush back into the room we were in before.

"I am getting sort of tired," says Ginny. Everyone else agrees as we all pretend to yawn. Everyone scatters to their designate room and we all go to bed, not wanting to get into any more hot water with Mrs. Weasley.
