My alarm on my iPod chimed. I sat up in the dark fumbling through my stuff trying to find it. So I could shut it up, and maybe hit the snooze button for an extra five minutes of sleep. But of course it had to be buried under something, and with the sun still not up it didn’t make it any easier.

 So much for sleeping in, I switched the bright light on making my eyes squint. Aha there it was! I unlocked it and finally sweet silence echoed through my room. I brushed my curtain blond long hair letting it run down the length of my back. I grabbed oily sun screen spraying it over my tanned skin.

Tied my bikini on, slipped my shorts and Panic! At the disco shirt over it. I was dressed for my morning swim every day at the beach. Most drive their kids everywhere, but mine are to busy at work. Luckily I live close to the beach which I'm completely intact to. 

 I rode my bike almost everywhere or snuck a ride in my car even though I'm only fifteen. Why this all had to happen well my parents were mainly at work or finishing extra work at the office. Which didn’t really bother me, I preferred the house to myself anyway.

Every morning I rode my bike to the beach to swim. Not alone of course my friend since I can remember Delaney joins me every morning and sometimes my exciting boyfriend Nathaniel. This isn’t a cheesy oh I'm so in love with this boy he’s my whole life, I ignore my friends for him. I’m in the palm of his hands. Those girls need a reality check, the world doesn't revolve around their boyfriends.

This was a serious relationship a mature one, the kind where you really love each other. Where he kisses you on the forehead and holds you close, wipes your tears and worry's away and tells you you’re beautiful. A smile formed across my lips even thinking of him gave my body a slight buzz and hum that glowed.

I ran down stairs making a mushed ham sandwich and getting a fizzy ginger ale and threw it in a little lunch box. Grabbed my keys with monster heads over them, I was out the door into the cool morning air. I was free from the lonesome house.

I walked over the crunchy gravel to my vintage light green bike and kicked up the kick stand. I felt so free on my bike like nothing could feel the way I felt strong independent. The smooth pavement slowly maneuvered, to a thick sandy ground the sand.  I was finally here.

I could hear Delaney’s iPod blasting out Ram our favorite song by Paul McCartney.

"Hey stranger! Turn it down don't want any crabby old people complaining now do we haha?" I stuck my tongue out playfully.

 "Haha you made it, so nice of you to join. You mean someone like you? Is that the old senior citizen person your referring to?" Delaney laughed.

"Yea whatever let’s get to it than Mrs.Nurse."

 We both laid our towels out over the sand and threw are cover ups in the air as if they were our graduation caps.

Racing to the water’s edge, I gilded through the ice cold water it felt like I was born in the water I moved swiftly as if this was my home where I came from instead of land.

 We swam out far today into deep water which was fun because I didn’t have to worry about what I was smashing with my feet. We were both silent floating on the surface staring at the sky. Still slightly covered with the dark shades of night. Soon the sun came an orange Tuscan color, erupted over the sky like lava oozing out. Drizzling reaching out everywhere.

The gulls were gliding through the sky calling out crying to one another. This was a moment to remember, a gift to my soul real treasure. The ocean felt like it was apart of my movements  like we were in sync with each other.

 Soon enough we swam back and plopped down onto our Roxy towels. We began to eat our sandwiches.I always completed life and other mind boggling situations out here.

"So what are you doing tomorrow?"

 "I think I’m going to the doctors to get shots, ha every time I say that I feel like I’m a dog needing my rabies shots." Delaney chuckled.

"Yea you’re definitely overdue on that one foaming at the mouth!" Uncontrollable laughter sporadically took over.

 “Haha what about you? Any special plans with Mr. Nathaniel?" Delaney sang.

"Actually no, Ive been feeling weird and feverish it hasn't stoped though so were gonna go get it checked out." I kept any worry far away from my tone.

“Oh well I’m sure you'll be okay you always are. Unlike some of us who absorb colds like it's our job!" Delaney said.

 "Yea that's pretty funny. Well I have to get going I’ve got a list of chores to do and that book report."

“Oh crap the book report!" Delaney exclaimed.

"No fear I’ll help ya on it, just swing by tomorrow around four. My doctor's appointments at one o' clock." I laughed.

 “Alrighty then, I’ll see you tomorrow. Bye." Delaney said happily.

 She took off towards her bike leaving little foot prints in the creamy beige sand.
