♥Chapter Five: Gooey Slice Of Pizza♥

(Oh and P.S. the memory well the original way I wrote it yea the computer deleted it :{ so i had to re write it bleh so it's not as great as the original for that I am sorry but take pity haha)

~Delaneys Point of Veiw~

"I mean he's like an addicting gooey slice of pizza he also has the bad side of it though greasy and fattening." My metaphor spilled out of my hungry lips probably why I chose pizza to compare Nathaniel to.

"Yes because those muscles are just so bad for you!" Riki laughed.

"It's a metaphor Riki." I stuck my tongue out at her. We walked through the crowd into the lunch room a waft of creamy milky macaroni and thick crispy chicken nuggets whirled around my nose. My stomach flipped and grumbled Riki began to talk as I searched the crowd of ninth graders for Raven and Nathaniel.

We had just gotten out of math which I was happy to leave but I hadn't seen Raven at all only Nathaniel nestled in the corner far away from me in science second period, but now he appeared to have to vanished to.

"What exactly is wrong with Nathaniel? I guess he could come off as addicting only to an obsessive person like you haha!" Her words were breaching my focus.

"He's going out with my best friend since birth!"

"Ahem...." She waited as she put her face in the air tapping her foot being goofy as usual.

"He's dating correction ONE of my best friends. How could you forget that important detail? I've only grilled over it a thousand times." I emotionally ranted. We slopped the crispy nuggets and noodely goodness onto the beige plates.

I kept trying to put these feelings for him to bay. Yet it felt like something was pulling me from doing it. Like my heart was being stretched every time I even considered giving up even though I wasn't trying to get him. Not even thinking about it or him anymore made my stomach feel like clay being stretched and molded pounded on.

"Yes yes but if you play your cards right perhaps there's a move that will let you keep both Raven and Nathaniel. I mean you can't just tell yourself forever you didn't love him you can't just deny the glint in your eyes you get when you think of him. You can't just forget that you have a heart to and it shouldn't be pushed aside." Her voice began to lower to a saddening tone as if she was trying to keep me from being cat lady.

Yet once again her words crashed my thoughts like glass not really paying attention to her words nor my thoughts bobbing somewhere in the middle of cloudiness thick and heavy pulling me down. Finally landing on a thought anything a memory drifted into my head how me and Riki met.

My piggy tail braids bounced by my ruby marsh mellow cheeks my tooth was lose as I flicked it with my tongue. My little skirt with lady bugs swished as I carefully set a foot down I clutched my sleeping beauty lunchbox at my side. Yet I was missing something emypty by my side, my twin my friend that I stuck like glue to was sick today, Raven. I scanned the lunch room full of the three first grade classes. My eyes caught the silent new girl sitting in the back alone.

She had come on a day that was sunny and warm, just yestarday the wind was howling by the windows Mrs.Butter had opend. The day those birds made a nest it was a nice day so I figured she must be nice to. As I walked I didn't notice the zipper slowly un zipping slowly while I pratically pwoer walked to the table. Or that the lid to my soup was not fully closed.

I made it to the table looking over the girl as I slowly took my seat. Her eyes were bright blue she had yellowish fair hair framing her sandy colored skin and her lips were like pink seashells, as if the beach had spread across her face. I lowered my head in a timely manner not wanting to stare. I felt her ocean blue eyes questionably glance at me as I unzipped my lunch box. In the throw of a grape across the table the soup cascaded down my white lady bug skirt.

A gasp from me, and the girl flooded around me as the soup flew out of the container. I just sat there for a moment knowing my tiny square napkin was useless in suceding in getting the soup cleaned up. The new girl ran off to the bathroom quickly why I have no idea. As she did I sat there as the soup dripped onto the floor. Not wanting to drip it all over the lunch room trying to get something to clean with I sat there defeated and embarrassed.

Until loud footsteps entered my ears bringing me back to the situation my hazel nut brown eyes raised up to the unfamiliar voice talking to me.

"Omigosh do you think this will be enough?" Quiet girl asked in a hurry to wipe up the mess.

"Uhhh yea th-hhanks umm?" My mouth almost hung in the "O" shape of my noodles she talked to me!

"Riki my names Riki." She smiled spreading her lips into a pearl white smile."Yours?" She continued to clean up the soupy mess.

"Delaney."

"Are you going to eat?" Riki looked at me like I was a fish out of water.

"Huh uh yea sorry day dreaming." I squeezed my eyes still feeling groggy. We had sat a a table near the window the clouds were squirming and charcoal black about to burst with rain.

"You were like a zombie walking over here." Riki joked.

I smiled meekly the sqishy noodles hit my tounge making me smile and Mmm out loud.

"Some ones really loving that Mac-and-cheeese, so where is dream boy and bestie at?" I took a moment to register this still not knowing the answer myself.

"Actually no." My face pulled into a frown.
