As you hear a noise coming from under the bridge you have a sudden urge to follow the noise and as soon as you move you your feet slowly in that direction you hear a voice behind you.
"Johnathan?"a quiet voice says as you turn around
"oh, hey lily, what are you doing here ?"you say pondering
"oh when you got off the bus i realized i didn't give you my number and i figured you got off somewhere close and so i got off at the next stop and followed you, i hope you don't think that's weird or anything" she says looking away
"i don't think that's weird at all i think i sweet" you say smiling
You decide to walk over to her.
"Lets go grab a cup of coffee" you say confidently
As she looks at you she smiles and shakes her head and extends her hand to you. You grab her hand and walk back over the bridge and around the tree and walk away from the park. You both arrive at the coffee shop and you open the door for her and you two cant stop smiling at each other.
"so tell me a little about yourself" you say
she looks at you as you both stand in line for your coffee"well i'm from new york and i teach a school for the performing arts, and im guessing you work at city 5"she says and chuckles
"yes, yes i do " you laugh a bit as the line get shorter and its time for you two to order.
"what can i get for you two" the guy over the counter ask as he stares at you two
"um..ill take a coffee with six sugars"you say and then turn your head to lily
"ill take the same thing " she says as you both pay for the your coffee and sit down together
"so" she says looking at you"tell me about yourself
"well i love writing and reporting mysteries and ive been doing it for about five years"you say as you takes a sip from your coffee
"and your boss just lets you take a break from work like this"she says as she tilts her head slightly and looks at you
"well im suppose to be finding a normal story to write about in tomorrows paper"as soon as the words leave your mouth you get a text from your boss telling you to tun on the tv.
As you ask someone to switch the channel to 5 you look shocked as you listen to the reporter
she starts talking about what just happened"we stand live with you in the basement of the city 5 news building with the owner of the long living building. Sir can you tell me how this could have happened"
"well the lift must have just gave out after all those year and im sorry for the actions after today" the landlord of the building says as the camera pans off of him."
the reporter is back in front of the camera as the headline reads"local delivery man killed in elevator lift"
As you turn around to lily you hear ring again and its another text message from mr.peter telling you to get back to the building to take pictures.
"i'm sorry but i have to go' you say to lily as you grab your cup of coffee and head out
"goodbye" she says as she waves to you
As you start walking towards the building you can its swarmed with police and other reporters so you flash your work id and head inside and travel up the stairs to your office.
"Johnathan"you hear echo from across the hall as you think to yourself who could this be now
