OKAY. I know I'm not the best at keeping my story up to date in a sorta organized order, but I'm trying! Sorry if the story is a little confusing and short or bad, but please feel free to tell me your thoughts on it!

Chow chow for now, readers!

Nicole's POV

As I woke up from my peaceful sleep, I got confused. Normally, I would get woken up by my dad screaming at me to get ready for the day but today I woke up on my own. Hmm... this is a little weird. Little did i know, that this was only the beginning...

I walked down the stairs after getting ready for the day and looked around for my dad. I found my sister and asked, "where's dad?"

"Oh... He's at work. We discussed this last night. Wanna go to the mall today? We can ring the girls and they can tag along." She replied.

"Uh... Wha-what?" I stuttered. My sister hasn't spoken that much to me in months. Let alone, ask to go in public with me. And who are "the girls"?

"You know. Call Jade, Mindy, and Clarisse. We go shopping every Sunday."

"What? We never go shopping. We never even hang out. You don't like to be seen with me in public." I know the girls but they are a part of her group in school, not mine.

"What are you on about? Are you high or something? Why would I feel that way? Ever since mom died, we have been practically best friends."

"Oh, okay then. No, I'm not high. Never mind. uh I have plans today. sorry." I raised my eyebrows, confused, yet happy! Maybe I have my old sister back! Wait, why is dad at work on a Sunday? He works during the week.

"Why is dad working today?" I ask.

Brittany answers, "oh. He had a new, important case today. I don't know the details but he's going to be busy for the next couple of weeks."

"Wait, where does he work? What?" I'm confused as heck. What even is going on???

She starts laughing. "Why are you asking me all these questions? Hes had cases like this every month. Hes a lawyer. You know, this is our routine life. Dad busy all the time for his dream career."

Wait, what? He's a lawyer? Yesterday, he never mentioned anything about being a lawyer. His job has been the same for the last few years. Working at a plant. I'm still confused but I don't question her about it. I'm too happy to speak!

As I walk into the kitchen, I notice something different. Our kitchen looks like the kitchen in some mansion. It's really huge, shiny, and clean. Usually, there's a few dishes in the sink and some crumbs scattered around. How the freak is it soo clean? I'm usually the one to clean up in here. How is it so big? What the heck is going on?

As I was mentally questioning everything right now, a short, middle-aged woman walked in. I have never seen this lady- wait, is that Mrs. Jenkins? My English teacher? I decided to ask her what she's doing here.

"Uh. Mrs. Jenkins? What are you doing here?" I asked.

She just laughed. What? "You're joking right?"

"No! I was being completely serious!" I frowned. How could she think I was joking?

"Honey, we've discussed this time and time before. Your dad and I are getting married next month, so I've already moved in."

What the flip is going on? My dad is still freaking single from the last I heard. And I'm pretty sure that if he was dating, he'd tell me because I've been trying to get him to date for the past year. Wait, what? Holy crap!
