A figure approached the chained prisoner, the prisoner seemed to be nothing but a small feeble girl while the figure stood strong and tall, obviously male. They were hundreds of feet down with practically no escape. Even though the air was still and the only noise that could be heard was a slight rattle of the chains that proved the prisoner was still alive, it was chaos. They found out about them, and they attacked.

As the figure came to a halt in front of the small girl, a deathly silence filled the air. Until finally the man spoke up, "As you have probably sensed, there is a war. And sadly they over power us with great numbers and a strong army. But I will grant you freedom if you stop the war." His voice boomed in the silence. Each word carefully spoke and laced with power and truth.

She did not flinch, she did not move. But with a smirk and slightly nod of her head, the room burst with noise. The chains broken still cuffed to her wrists and ankles leaving a trail of chain still attached to the silver cuffs.

Wings sprouted from her back, pitch black feathers scattering, gently falling to the floor. The ground above burnt and flaming as she soared into the night sky.

She stayed there as the shadows seemingly got darker, and a howl of the screeching and tormented souls sounded from all around as if acknowledging the return of their queen.

She stay floating there, black hair draped over her shoulders, vibrant, glowing red eyes could be seen from almost any distance. Her pale complexion complicated by a lose black gown.

As the enemy finally snapped out of their trance, one word rung out from all the war around, "FIRE!" As missiles, bullets, and ammo of all kinds fired at her, she did not flinch, she did not move, for she knew that the beings of her kingdom would protect her until their last breath as she would do for them.

A dark cloud surrounded her and protected her. As the smoke died down and the fire ceased. The shield stood strong without a single scratch so did the queen. She took the moment of shock that the enemy was in to her advantage, and with a slight movement of her hand the shadows seemingly swallowed the entire army. Leaving nothing but the wreckage of war. She sank into the shadows and disappeared from site to forever be remembered as the Shadow Queen, as the Black Feather.

Now,  you may be wondering 'How can such a strong being be captured so easily?' Well it's simple she had failed and as a punishment she was to  be cast to prison. And only by the word of an Ancient One, was she to be freed. And why take the offer so easily, well, it's simple, she wanted Redemption.
