"Which way would your brother tell me?" She quickly stated.
"Wrooooong~" The one on the left shouted.
"Or is it right?" The one on the right joined in. "It is seven words,"
"But, not the right words!"
"Come on! We know you have the answer!"
"Shiro, what if she doesn't know?" The one on the left said.
"That's ridiculous Kuro! She's "Alice"!" The one on the right pointed out.
She stared at them arguing with bored eyes. How much longer will this be? I have to get to Akuma to change something for a more interesting outcome. "Just tell me the damn way already!" She exclaimed. She was annoyed by how long it was taking to merely change an outcome of her destiny.
"Brother, I think she's upset..."
"It doesn't matter, she long forgot us anyway."
"I guess so, so it wouldn't mattered if we disappeared now."
"Not one bit~"
The two stood there in silence for a moment until the twin on the right moved over to the left, allowing her to take the right path. The path was dark and ominous, and would make almost anyone else shiver when they walked down it, but she couldn't care less. Her boots clicked on the ground, her dress trailing behind her as she passed down the lane to where she presumed Akuma was. A huge door faced her, its wooden intricate designs and black and gold decorations made it somewhat pleasing to the eye, although it did seem slightly dangerous to go through. Without hesitation, the girl pushed the doors open. Some force pulled her in quickly and she laid alone in a dark room. Nothing could be seen a foot in front of whoever might of been in there. There were sound though. Haunting, disturbing moans and screams that resounded throughout the room. She just stood in the room, waiting to see what would happen. Something predictable. The lights flickered on and she didn't see anyone in front of her. How obvious, trying to scare me off with nothing but sounds that don't even exist. She didn't flinch when a pair of arms wrapped around her waist from behind, and her expression stayed the same. Hair tickled her face as a soft whisper was blown into her ear, "I was wondering how long it would take for you to get here~ After all," The boy behind her hugged her even closer, "You are my favorite toy~" A smile appeared on his face and a small laugh came from his mouth.
She quickly brushed him off and stared into the red eyes of the boy behind her. His jet black hair covered his head and he looked at her with some sort of desire. "What did you call me here for today Akuma?" She interrogated. He wore a jacket with short sleeves, so not really a jacket. He wore a dark red shirt underneath. The 'jacket' was black and white, along with a pair of biking gloves on his hand. He twisted a baseball cap around in his hands, eventually tossing it in the air, it vanished from sight as he did so.
"What's two plus two?" He randomly spit out.
"Four..." She responded.
"Two times two?" He asked again.
"Four." She answered.
"I love the number two. It's the same answer if you multiply or add it, and it's the number for a couple. Kawaii desu ne?" He started walking over to her.
"I asked you what you wanted, not what your favorite number was." She stated out, clearly annoyed, although this might of been the most interesting and random part of her day.
He was close enough to her and grabbed her by the waist, pulling her closer to him. He placed his forehead on hers, his hair brushing her face. "Hmmm.... What if the reason i brought you here was just to ask you what two plus two was? Or maybe i just wanted to play with you again. A more...." He paused for a second, "Interesting game. I know you love those~" His lips were mere inches away from hers, their breaths intermingling. "You know, I think I'd like you even better with cat ears~!" Out of nowhere with his other hand he taps her head, and cat ears appeared on top of her head.
"Wha-" She reached up to feel a new addition to her body. They felt soft, but she could feel them, which made her a bit concerned. Akuma petted her new ears which made her flinch back.
"I've haven't seen you flinch in a long time. Are these going to be your new weakness?" He continued to pet them and a slight blush formed on her face.
"Stop it!" She stammered out. She tried to step away from him, but he followed her. She nearly backed into a wall when he let go."I won't do such a thing if you don't want me to. Besides," He sighed, "That's cheating. I can't say I've made you do this or that if I added something that wasn't you to begin with to make you feel that way." He walked toward the center of the room. "I do have a game for you though."
"What is it? And will you take these stupid things off of me?" She demanded.
"I will... If you are able to beat this game~" He smirked as he saw her face turn into annoyance once again.
"Fine, then lets hurry up and play." She huffed out. She walked over to him in the center of the throne-like room.
"It's not that simple." He stated. "I will be putting you in your past memories, only you will see what is going on, and you will be watching yourself and those who you interacted with like a spectator." She raised her eyebrows, slightly interested in this 'game'. "At the end of a memory, there will be a puzzle for you to solve, in which you only have a limited time to solve it. It will have something to do with the memory, not matter how simple or complex it may seem. The answer might even be, the butterfly in the corner of the room."
She nodded her head in agreement to play this new game. Her eyes seemed more alive than they did half an hour ago when she first entered the building.
"I must warn you though," He started as they walked close to a portal that seemed to randomly appear as he was explaining the game to her. She started to step through the portal slowly, wanting to hear him finish what he was saying but she stepped in too soon. She couldn't hear the last of his final sentence, "If you fail, you-" The portal swallowed her, transporting her to a new dimension.
