Chapter Five: The Lava

Chapter 5

Later that day I went to Steve Jinkins and told him what had happened. Then he gave me the test tubes I needed to put the lava in. They were specially made so the lava didn't melt them.

Then I headed to the volcano just as I was going to start climbing to the top of it the earth started to shake and, the volcano erupted! I tarted running as fast as I could to get away from the molten hot lava. I needed samples but I could get the sample when the lava was headed toward me it would burn me to death.

I kept running until the lava was no where insight. Then I stopped to look and see where I was. I was in the middle of nowhere, not a person in sight. I had no idea what to do.

I desperately look around to see if I could find anybody but I couldn't. I could still feel the heat from the lava. I knew the lava couldn't be to far away but, I couldn't run anymore.

At that very moment I saw the lava coming toward me. I had no idea what to do. Then the strangest thing happened the lava went around me on both sides as if I had some kind of force field around me.
