Can I join?

Grabbing the phone back instantly, I tried to talk to him.
"So urm, what game you playing?"
He nodded his head.
"That doesn't even make any sense!"
No reply again.
Curious, I leaned over his shoulder once again, which made the boy look up in suprisment.
"W-w-what are you d-doing?" He was a stuttering mess.
"Well, you completely blanked me again after I gave you back your phone. "
He frowned
"Sorry," he covered his face with his hair, as if he didn't want to be seen.
-After school-
I was walking out of class, when I saw Kozume packing up his stuff.
"Kozume - kun!" I waved, a wode smile across my face. Scared out of his mind from the action, he stared at me, for what seemed like years.
Walking over to him, he once again looked nervous.
"So, where you going?" I looked at him directly.
"Im going to volleyball practice. .." he looked down at his feet.
Thank goodness hes stopped stuttering so much
"Ah! Thats so cool, what position do you play?" He looked hurried but stayed where he was, trying to maintain the long distance between us.
"Setter." He simply stated, and closed his bag.
"Well, do you enjoy volleyball? You dont look like someone who would enjoy sports,"
Silence.
Realising what I just said, I frantically began speaking again,
"I didnt mean it in that way! I just mean like, hmm likeeee..."
I was lost for words.
"Its fine," The boy looked at the opposite direction.
"Anyway, you better get going, im sorry for taking your time," I smiled again.
"Yeah," he picked up his stuff, and began to walk out.
"Wait!" I shouted, making Kozume turn round.
I began talking,
"Do you mind it I join the team?"
He smiled a tiny tiny bit.
"Yeah, if you can." And with that he left the class.
-At home-
I sprant up for my bed, and landed on the cold sheets. I exhaled, and thought about the events of today.
Should I join? I mean I have no other clubs or plans.
I thought for about and hour, but remembered I had to eat. Sliding down the stairs as fast as I could, I saw a note on my dinner.
Dear Y/n,
Your dad and I will be on a business trip for a while. Please take care of yourself and behave ~
And by the way honey, you looked so cute in the boys uniform ♡
Love mum.
I facepalmed mentally reading the last sentence of her note and ate. This year was going to be long.

But dont worry, youll find out why you crossdress etc. Also, this will be a slow romance because I find fast ones a bit meh. Finally, the reason I included you crossdressing was because I want this story to be a bit different from the rest, and for you to be in the actual team :3
