Dan:
You smiled at Dan, lacing up your boots so you could take him outside for a walk on your family's farm. Your smile was as bright as the sun that belted down on your backs. Neither of you complained of the heat though, it reminded you of your childhood Summers and Dan never got sunburned anyway. He was taken aback by the initial vastness of the countryside. He never thought of this as your type of upbringing. You kept walking until you reached a lake with tire swing hanging from a rope over it. So many memories flooded in of having friends and cousins over on hot, sunny days where you'd sip lemonade and swing and splash any worries you had away. The two of you sit on the bank with your feet in the water and you tell him stories of your youth. They brightened up his face the same way they did yours. You walked back down a dusty track when night fell. After a homemade dinner, you sat on the front porch and caught fireflies in a jar. Laughing at your first failed attempts. You cuddled up to him, the light of the fireflies, moon and stars illuminated his face so you could see him clearly. It was quiet, but in a good way. You were glad to have found your free-spirited younger self that day, and ever happier to share it all with Dan.

Phil:
You finally got to bring Phil to Dublin, since he had never been before. In his head he saw it as a capital city, similar to London, but smaller. He still wanted to go, though. It meant a lot to him to learn as much as he could about you, including your past and childhood. The crisp morning air caused a cool shiver to pass through your bodies, as you walked beside dewy grass, hands interlocked. You made it your mission to show him a side of Dublin he didn't expect. The places you went to celebrate, the quiet sanctuary you visited when you felt alone and that parts of the city and culture you felt a longing for whenever you were away. That was exactly what you were doing. You first brought him to park near your house, where you would come to think. As you both sat on the swings you reminisced, telling him stories. You brought him down Grafton, Henry's and O'Connell street, just so you could walk down the narrow cobblestone side paths, that led you away from crowds. You smiled, walking freely and proudly. You could tell Phil was impressed when you showed him all the art sculptures and statues on the streets and told him about them. Before you knew it, night fell. The street lamps lit up as the shop lights turned off, allowing for the true culture and spirit of your hometown to shine through. Phil finally understood where you got all your quirks from. You couldn't deny that this city was what made you who you are
