Cornered by the front door
Because you finally had enough
By the one you always loved
And the one that's really tough
Keeps you on his mind
But never had time to be
The crowd while your own your own stage, so
You're walking out the front door now
Wishing you could get away
But this time it's harder
Because when you look out -
He's that annoying blue speck
You see in the middle of sunflowers
But you got to have him
'Cause he brings out the color in you.
Bluesonnet of Yours.
He lights up your city
Makes you feel important
But doesn't care for pity
Bluesonnet of yours
You are his nail
When he's feeling like killing
Send me to Texas by mail
Gives you long tight hugs
Kisses you on the cheek
Breaks you like mugs
Sitting at your window
Watching the rain fall down the pane
You wish of getting away
No report. "Forgot" his name.
Walking in your new house
Wishing you would have stayed
But it was harder
Because when you look out -
He's that annoying blue speck
You see in the middle of sunflowers
But you got to have him
'Cause he brings out the color in you.
