The wrinkles by your lips
When you flash that awesome grin.
Makes your eyes crinkle and
My heart leap from within.
The wrinkle between your brows
When you're thinking hard and you frown.
I love these wrinkles and crinkles
That turned my life upside down.
Because, Beauty isn't perfection
Beauty isn't the perfect tan
Beauty is seeing you
In a way that you never can.
When I see you, the wrinkles
Don't make you age.
I see the years of happiness
That, I know, pay me homage
* this one is for my best friend. I found it buried within the pages of my diary from when we were in 7th grade. This year, my best friend and I would have completed 12 years of being best friends and 17 years of knowing each other.
