Two is Better Than One

Chapter 5 /// Penny Cruising

     I go over to Ricky asking what he wants aparently I took his phone on accident. "Oops" I was secretly using it to send weird snapchats to people. I hang out with Morgan for a bit while were walking around the hotel. We run into Ricky's friend, Jc. I've known Jc for awhile now. So it wasn't a big thing to meet him. He told us he wanted me to meet someone. 

     "You're gonna love her I promise," He says "meet my girl friend Kat." 

She smiles shyly. She has gorgeous long brown hair with blue eyes. Honestly she looks like she could be on the cover of the magazine. She stands at 5'11...taller than Jc. 

    "Jc your answering me like I'm dating you."

    "Oh..well...she's my best friend from San Antonio," Jc says "anyway she could use someone to hang out with...so I thought you could?"

     I reply  "Sure come on I'll show you around the hotel" 

     We walk around for a bit and talk by the time we walked around the whole hotel twice it was time for us to eat. We went by the indoor cafe and got some soup and salad. Once we ate we headed up to the room to sleep. Kat's room was across the hall so we just went upstairs and split.

     I wake up to see Connor and Ricky gone and Morgan fixing coffee in her robe. 

"Goodmorning" I say

   "Sleep OK last night?"

   "Yeah just...just tired."

   "Well better not because it's day one of vidcon!!"

   We get dressed, eat, and head down to the lobby the go meet some people. We tag along with Connor, Ricky, Jc, Kian, and Kat for the mojority of the time. I'm at the Our2ndLife booth when someone taps my shoulder and I turn around with Sam holding a penny board. 

    I ask "What's this?"

    "Well you left your's at home so I thought to give you one of my old ones to ride while your here!"

    "Wow...you REALLY didn't need to do that.."

   "Eh it's fine. But I was thinking later today we could go out with a group of people and go ride around Cali"

    "Yeah that be great!"

    "Great see you later Ang!"

He runs off catching up to Kian and Trevor. I smile and go off to find Morgan and Kat...

     It's later in the day and I go look around for Sam and his group of friends. They're all waiting in the front lobby so I hurry up to them. There is Sam, Kian, Trevor, Jarrad, Jc, and a few girls I don't recognize. Sam greets tells me were just gonna ride around and see where we end up. We head outside and just...go.

     We stopped at a park 15 minutes in to just walk/cruise around. Sam shows me to this spot where it's shaded and has a old bench. We sit down and start talking.

     "How did you learn to cruise like that!?" Sam exclaimed

     "Years of practice I guess ha ha."

     "You know I know this great frozen yogurt place if you wanna go check it out."

     "I've actually never had frozen yogurt before."

     "You haven't! Well now were going" 

     Sam takes my hand and pulls me onto the board and we ride off. We ride around the streets of Cali just us...It was almost like a date...almost. It took 11 minutes to get to the place. We ride in and hop of our boards and bring them inside.

     I go inside and it's a colorful room. Bright colors everywhere! We wait in line; which is barely even a line. Sam gives me some suggestion of what flavor to get and I settle for the basic Strawberry. Once we get our yogurt we find a table and start getting to know each other more. In a middle of a conversation he get's a text.

     "Sorry," he looks down at his phone "I'll just be one minute hold on."

     "It's fine!" I smile

He comes back with a half smile on his face.

     "Well I have to meet someone real fast..so if you don't mind?"

     "Not at all! Let's go."

     We head out and Sam leads the way. We end up back at the hotel when Sam runs inside. I causally walk back inside when I see his back turned covering up someone. He turns around holding someones hand.

     "Penny this is Angie; Angie this is my girlfriend."
