Prologue

“I hope this is all worth it.” Miranda muttered next to me.

“Shut up.”  I told her as I craned my neck to get a better view of what was ahead.

“Why can’t we just go to the meet and greet in Brooklyn?” She whined again pulling my shirt so that I came down with it. I glared at her and sighed.

It was raining, the sky was pretty dark though it was only 12 noon.  I have dragged Miranda all the way from Brooklyn just to see No Sleep ‘Till Brisbane-our favorite band- here in Colorado. We have been obsessing over this band since the start of High School and have made an oath to be dedicated band geeks. So here we are miles from home, under the pouring rain-with wet clothes and rat nests as hair- just to see a band we adore who stands 15 meters away from where we stand. Kind of a bittersweet thing but still.

Miranda, is my best friend-cool as hell with her dark blue hair. No, not red, or pink or even bleach blonde, not those kind of ordinarily extraordinary. Hers was way out of line, her hair is like a very own bomb shell as it is. She was the kind of girl that doesn’t follow the ‘trend’ she dares to be different.

“I told you, we need to go to every meet and greet.” I told her sternly, like a mother talking to her child. She let out a frustrated groan as she already knew she can’t change my mind.

“No. 1 Rule of fangirling, Dedication is what you need.” I reminder her which earned me an eye roll.

My name is Alexandria-no, not Alexandria in Egypt, Alexandria like Asking Alexandria, the band?- but my friends call me Ria-not Alex, not Dria, not Alexa- Ria. And I like it like that. As you can already see, I’m a band geek, always was and always will. From punk rock to death core, that’s what kind of genres I listen to.

In middle school I was known for being the awkward introvert but in high school I am now the awkward introvert with great taste in music. (I made up my own title in the school popularity chain) I am as what you would call an outcast-but I like it that way, I mean, I get to have my peace and quiet.

But if you are Alexandria Pullman, nothing really goes how you want them to go. Instead of getting the benefits of being an outcast-which is all the peace in mind I can get- I am constantly being picked on. But I don’t really give a donkeys ass about what other people do or think of me. I’m perfectly fine-or so I’d like to think. I was always being bullied, called names and one time got a death threat because apparently my face was and I quote “Not needed to bring suffering to all who sees it.” I don’t know but that just made me laugh.

But for every puny human that is bullied, there is that one person who acts as the knight in shining armor for the puny human. For me that was Miranda in all her dark blue hair glory.

I was in the process of being shoved harshly against the locker by one of the school’s popular crowd when all of a sudden a loud booming sound of a girl’s voice came.

“Hey ! Stop that !” I looked up to see a girl with really dark blue hair giving daggers at the popular girl infront of me. Bettany-the popular girl who was shoving me- turned around and raised an eyebrow at the dark blue haired girl.

“Excuse me?” Bettany said surprised that someone interrupted her daily cause of evil.

“Leave the poor girl alone.” Dark blue haird girl said.

“Do you know who I am?” Bettany scoffed at her and started walking towards her, Bettany was trying to intimidate her but that didn’t seem to even faze the dark blue haired girl.
