dedicated to northbynorth because I'm just so hooked in Saving Elliot.

“So, let me get this straight.”

We all turned in our seats to look at Miranda-well except for Kyle, he was driving, if he did look, we’d probably hit a tree or something.

“What?” Beau asked raising his pierced eyebrow at Miranda.

“You guys. No Sleep ‘Till Brisbane, the fastest rising band from Illinois, is staying in some shitty hotel here in Colorado?” Miranda asked and I cringe at how offending her words are. Not the fastest rising part, the shitty hotel part. It can hurt a guys ego hearing something like that from a girl.

Well, anything that’s not stroking a guy’s ego can be offending.

“Yeah, we don’t really have a choice on that now do we?” Parker said looking at Miranda’s expression bemused. Miranda did look amusing-she looked torn between feeling sad for the guys staying at a crappy hotel, and feeling shocked.

“Tell me again why?” Miranda asked clearly not digesting how NSTB ended up staying at a crappy hotel in Colorado, more importantly that crappy hotel was where we were staying.

Parker sighed and said, “It was Bettany’s dad’s idea, he said we should cut a bit of slack, since it was a bit expensive to have us having our mini ‘tour’ here and there. So he decided to make us stay in the cheapest hotels he could find in every place we have an appearance. It’s fine really, I mean, we’re just starting in the music business it’s not like we’re super famous and he is the one who’s been paying for everything, so staying in a cheap hotel is not really a big deal.”

“Are you kidding me? Did you see how many people were out there today? Is that what you call just starting in the music business?”I scoffed.

“Nirvana, could sell out an arena.” Kyle shrugged looking through the mirror.

“But still, you’re famous-semi famous that is- but still famous, You have fans all over America, I don’t know how you guys don’t know about that.” I said dumb founded.

“Parker considers being locally famous, not famous.” Beau said and I turned to raise an eyebrow at him.

“How can you say that? Every person would dream to be in your shoes.” I told them.

“Yeah, be able to tour-even if it’s just here in America-, made 2 albums where one album reached the top 10 in the most buyed album in a magazine poll, guys envy you, girls chase you.” Miranda added.

“It’s still not good enough, so we can’t complain about anything right now.” Parker sighed.

“Okay, going back to the topic, aren’t you guys like hella rich? So why don’t you just use your money to stay in a top of the line hotel?” Miranda asked.

“We are not rich.” Kyle said.

“Our dad’s are.” Beau added sighing.

“So, ask your dads for money?” I asked looking at them and Beau just laughed.

“You see, we would’ve done that if little Parker here didn’t have-” Kyle said amused but was cut off immediately by Parker smacking his head and giving him a deathly glare then everything just turned dead silent.

Me and Miranda Shared a look.

Something tells me there’s something bothering Parker, and I am determined to find out.

We arrived in the hotel and went up the elevator. And it was so quite, awkward. I looked at Miranda waiting for her to start a conversation. Being the awesome best friends that we are, we can communicate telepathically so I didn’t need to tell Miranda anything for her to release the tension  in the air.
