*Chapter 2*

The past two weeks, the whole Simmons family has been packing and unpacking boxes from California to Bradford. Priscilla was extremely tired due to the fact that her whole family, excluding Johannah, treated her as a camel. Moving huge boxes, carrying large suitcases, she’s surprised her back isn’t broken yet, to say the least. Priscilla was also upset due to the fact she started school tomorrow. TOMORROW. Once the rock in her life, Joshua, died; she became an outcast in school. No she didn’t dye her hair and wear black all the time; she just shriveled up and became this shy, insecure girl. So to Priscilla, school was like another hell, apart from her home. Much to her dismay, at her old school, she was bullied as well which added to her anxiety and insecurity. Johannah encouraged her not to worry about school.

Once Tuesday morning came, Priscilla trudged out of bed, dreading her first day at school. She wanted to at least look decent at her new school for the next year, so she decided to put her long, black hair into a side braid. She also wore skinny jeans with a band tee.

(A/N: Okay well obviously I don’t live in Bradford so I don’t know any high schools over there. And also I’m not familiar with the European education levels, so sorreeh. In this ff, Priscilla is 17 & Zayn is 18, but they are in the same grade. Oh oh, also I’m not a fashionista so sorry I don’t know how to describe oufits. Oops.)

Saying Priscilla was nervous for her first day would be considered an understatement. Her anxiety was getting the best of her all morning.

What if they hate me? What if I’m bullied again? What if they find out I have depression?

Anxiously Priscilla started walking towards her new school. She was in year thirteen or sixth form. (A/N: Honestly Idk someone correct me if I’m wrong on the whole grade year. Thanks xo.) Priscilla hoped this year would go by fast with no problems whatsoever. She would continue being the shy, quiet girl in the back of the classroom and the girl walking with her head down through the hallways. While she was deep in her thoughts, she didn’t see the girl rushing to school on the sidewalk in front of her.

BOOM!

“Oh my god! I’m so so sorry! It’s just I’m new here an-…” Priscilla suddenly stopped explaining herself because she heard laughter. She was slightly confused thinking this girl would be filled with envy due to her dropping her school-books and papers all around.

“Love, don’t apologize. It was my fault too!” she reassured Priscilla. “Oh by the way, my name is Abigail. But everyone calls me Abby!” Abby slightly stretched her hand out for Priscilla to shake it. Priscilla reluctantly shook it, reluctantly because she was never shown this kind of kindness in any way. “Oh. Okay. Well my name is Priscilla.”

“Oh well welcome to Bradford High School! Let’s go get your timetable, yeah? We don’t want to be late for lectures. C’mon!” Abby stated whilst her and Priscilla managed to gather all her papers.

“Lectures? Timetable? I’m sorry I’m from California and I honestly don’t know these British terms.” Priscilla explained.

“Oh sorry, hun. Timetables are like a schedule and lectures are our classes.” Abby clarified while giggling at the confused girl trailing behind her.

“Oh… okay then.”

“Hello Mrs. Leroy! This is our new student Priscilla…”Abby started.

“Oh. Hi. Umm yeah Priscilla, Priscilla Simmons, sorry.” Priscilla continued.

“Yeah. Priscilla Simmons and she would like to have her timetable please?”  Priscilla noticed how cheerful Abby was no matter what. She wished she could be like that; be able to except herself for her and not carry her burdens. Once Priscilla came out of her spontaneous daze, she heard Abby talking to her.
