*Chapter 3*

The rest of school day went fairly well in Priscilla’s favour. Even though she was completely humiliated, she managed to break out of her turtle shell and make a couple of friends. She didn’t know whether it was out of pity, but either way she was content with her life at the moment. After classes were over, she walked down the road to Johannah’s kindergarten class. Whilst Johannah and Priscilla started walking home, Johannah decided to spark up a conversation with her sister.

“So how was your first day of big school?”

Priscilla chuckled. Johannah always referred to high school as ‘big school’ because she noticed how many big kids always attend there.

“It was…. Interesting...” Priscilla mumbled in response.

“Interesting? Good or bad?” Johannah urged on trying to get a response out of her.

“Well, I got pushed to the ground for a Grand Entrance. Then in English class I met Zayn and I also made a couple friends, which is pretty surprising!” Priscilla stated.

“Ooooooh Zaaaaaaayn! Priscilla talks to boys! Ewww boys have cooties Pris!” Johannah exclaimed.

“Noo, mom and dad just want you to believe that, but they don’t and I barely met Zayn, Jo…! He was nice but I don’t think he likes me, just in a friendly way.”

“First step of love is deniaaaaaaal! I heard it in a movie.” Johannah giggled.

“Urgh, it’s not love! I talked to him in English. Calm down.” Priscilla smiled while remembering the encounter in English.

“So Zayn, is it? Well hi, sorry I was so rude, but I don’t want to get on Ashliee’s bad side..” Priscilla trailed off.

“Nah, it’s fine. Ashliee was my girlfriend, was. And now she can’t get it through her mental brain. It’s quite annoying and scary to be honest, but don’t mind her. You seem like a nice girl, nothing wrong with that.” Zayn replied.

“Oh I see, well yeah she is quite scary. I mean she only embarrassed me in front of the whole student body.” Priscilla stated whilst rolling her eyes.

“Quite the entrance there, huh? Jokes! Just don’t let her get to you, you’re a headstrong girl. I’m sure you can tolerate her witty remarks. They aren’t that insulting, I’ve heard worse.”

“Well, yeah….me too.” Priscilla whispered remembering the names her family calls her.

“What was that?” Zayn asked the girl completely puzzled.

“Oh it was nothing.”

“Oh. Okay, well can I see your timetable, miss?” Zayn joked.

“Yes, yes you can mister.” Priscilla giggled while handing him her schedule.

“Wow we have about 3 classes together; English, Chemistry, and Art. OH Art how amazing. An artistic kind of girl, impressive.” Zayn exclaimed.

“And which classes do we not have together?” She asked Zayn curiously.

“Hmm…let’s see…oh! Dance, Maths, and Music.” Zayn replied. “I would be in your music class, but I don’t feel like I needed that class, so I just got a free period. Even though, I love music and singing.”

“Ah.. what type of music do you listen to?”

“Well I love the band Little Mix, be sure to buy their album DNA.”
