Slowpoke vs. Gyarados

It was time. Slowpoke could feel it in his guts.

It was time he took down Gyarados.

This might be hard, but nobody said it was easy downing Gyarados Slowpoke thought to himself. He frowned. The only moves he knew were Psychic, Slack-off, Soak and Energy Ball. He slowly crawled to Gyarados's lair, the Lake of Rage. Remebering Dragonair's words, he took a few deep breaths and thought about what made him feel peaceful. He thought about the beach at Olivine City. He thought about playing in the sand and getting himself wet. He thought about this because he knew that Gyarados would try to piss him off and get him off guard. His best friend Sunkern told him this, having taken on Gyarados himself.

Slowpoke arrived at the Lake of Rage. Magikarp were jumping in and out of the water, doing somersaults and using the move Splash. It was a beautiful sight. But then the Magikarp began to tremble and scatter, as if something frightning was about to come out of the lake and use Scary Face on them. Gyarados emerged from the lake. It roared, but then it cleared it's throat.

"Hello. As you may already know, I am Gyarados and you have probably come here to fight me. In 100% of the cases so far, I win but you are more than welcome to try to take me down. You up for it?" Gyarados asked.

"Yeah. I am, I think." Slowpoke replied, uncertain of himself.

"Okay. Since I am a decent pokemon, I shall let you move first, although I will try to piss you off." Gyarados warned. Slowpoke thought for a while. Gyarados is a Water- Flying- type, so Energy Ball will do normal damage. Same with Psychic. He didn't need to heal, so Slack-off is not on the menu. But what if he used Soak...? Slowpoke used Soak.

"Wait, what? I'm no longer a dual type! NOOOOOOOOO!" Gyarados wailed. Slowpoke smiled.

"Grrrrrrrr! I'll show you!" Gyarados growled. He used Water Gun and Slowpoke dodged it, just in time. He used Energy Ball. It hit and it was super effective!

"Aaaah! That really hurt! You're using my battle strategy!" Gyarados whined. He used Aqua Tail. It hit Slowpoke. He was sent flying into Mahogany Town. Hmm! That got rid of him Gyarados thought. Slowpoke used Slack-off and he was healed. He crawled back to the Lake of Rage and sat in front of Gyarados.

"I just had my turn. It's your turn now." Slowpoke said.

"HNGRYAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Gyarados screamed. He used Bite. It hit. Slowpoke just sat there, unfazed by the attack. He used Energy Ball. It hit and was super effective!

"AAAAAAAAAHHHH!!! STOP IT, STOP IT, STOP IT!!!" Gyarados wailed.

"Do you forfeit?" Slowpoke asked.

"Yes, yes! Please, stop it!" Gyarados cried, tears streaming down his face. Slowpoke started making his long journey back home to Slowpoke Well in Azalea Town. Little did he know, Gyarados was using Fake Tears. Slowpoke used Slack-off.

"You really thought I would fall for that, didn't you?" Slowpoke asked Gyarados, "Your turn." Gyarados used Water Gun. Slowpoke dodged and used Energy Ball once again. It hit and was a super effectine and critical hit! Gyarados fainted. Slowpoke crawled over to him.

"I think a lesson is to be learnt somewhere among this: don't mess with Slowpokes." Slowpoke said and crawled away, starting his journey back to Azalea Town again.

That was fairly simple Slowpoke thought to himself as he crawled into Mahogany Town, smiling to himself.
