How old are they?
Gaara stays mostly around the ages he really is in the anime for the most part, but Shiaye is obviously a mystery. I'll update the "chart" below as I go.

From chapters 1-12 Shiaye is 12.
From Chapters 13-30 Shiaye is 13-16.
From chapter 8-30 Gaara is 14-17.

From Chapters 1-28 Shiaye is 16
From Chapters 29-42 Shiaye is 17
From Chapters 1-18 Gaara is 17
From Chapters 18-24 Gaara is 18
TDFI
From Chapters 1-11 Shiaye is 17
From Chapters 12-29 Shiaye is 18
From Chapters 1-23 Gaara is 18
From Chapters 24-29 Gaara is 19
In the epilogue, Shiaye is 24 and Gaara is 25.
