"The N.Y.P.D. tells us that the ominous killer who grotesquely murders children is still out th-." The noise gave way to the soft buzz of my desk fan. Why can't they see I'm saving those children. I thought to myself. "Clearly it is too late for those people as they are blind to my power." My lord said to me. I stare at my acidic green clock it glowing 8:00 at me. Something felt wrong about leaving on this night. It felt almost demonic.

Halfway to my targeted neighborhood I felt the presence but it was too late. As I turned around I got picked up and thrown into a tree by long black tendrils. I laughed a little as I got up "hey slendy long time no see." I said to the creature. It rushed me with its tendrils but this time I easily thumbed my katana out of its sheathe and sliced them away. I rushed the creature with it dodging his appendages and stabbing the sword into what I can only guess is his stomach. He screamed a scream that sounded like TV static. The creature reeled back off of the sword and I hit him with the sheathe knocking him into the window of an old house in the woods. That was when I heard a man say "what the hell is going on." I knew I couldn't be caught yet so I ran.

I came up on a river and started cleaning my katana and filling my canteen. Then I heard laughter. Child laughter.
