Neutralising Threat

He stalked through the shadows, like a phantom through a haunted house, the weapon on his cybernetic arm ready for the dispatch of any potential threat. He always came prepared, never let his guard down, just as he was taught in all those grueling training sessions "Always be prepared..."

Luke hid, waiting for the backup he had called for. He spotted too many hostiles, and not enough stealth zones to kill them all by himself. He was only an Assassin for the Anti-Cyborg Resistance, taking jobs that required him to either scout or make quick kills, no survivors. "Two Spyders... Four Borg... One heavily armed, minimal weak points." He spoke into his com device, reporting in to HQ, his voice with a dark, somewhat metallic sound through his cybernetic replacement jawbone.

"Don't engage unless you have to. I've sent Warren and Kaitlin Murkoff to assist you in this one." The Director spoke, his German accent thick and assertive. Luke nodded in acknowledgement.

"Affirmative. Thank you, Sir." Luke continued to watch over the approaching Cyborgs from his spot in the shadows, scanning for potential weak points in the Cyborg he decided to cleverly name 'Battle-Wagon', but all known weak points had been covered by armour plating. Kaitie and Warren had better get there soon. He felt a slight tap on his shoulder.
" Affirmative? Since when did you become so high and mighty?" Kaitie whispered with a smirk on her face, quiet enough as to not alert the Borg bellow. Luke scoffed at her remark.

"Kaitie. Quiet down. Luke, what info do you have?" Warren inquired, silencing Kaitie so that she was all business.
"The big one. He'll be a challenge to apprehend without letting him loose into the streets. I'd say there's about a fifty eight percent chance of him staying down here with us. The other three are child's play. I'm guessing that they're just here so that they can distract you once they make it above ground so the big guy can mess shit up"
"Then we'd better make him our top priority. Kaitie, you've got point. I'll cover you. Luke, you provide support by keeping the lighter ones off of Kaitie. Are we clear?"

"Roger that."
"Affirmative."

The three stalked separate paths around the Cyborgs, Kaitie headed toward the Battle-Wagon, while Luke and Warren headed behind its position to get a jump on the smaller Cyborgs and Spyders. Kaitie stopped and looks over to Warren, awaiting his signal, Luke readied the retractable blades on his forearms. Warren looked across to them and bellowed out.
"Now!"

They jumped down from the catwalk surrounding the Cyborgs and Spyders, gaining the advantage through the element of surprise. Kaitie engaged in hand-to-hand combat with the Battle-Wagon, the Hydraulics in her limbs bringing her to match the strength of the heavily framed Cyborg. The fight was better for her because of her slim figure giving her an agility advantage over the hulking mass of flesh and metal, though he was a lot faster than he looked. she attempted a right hook to his face, but he caught her hand mid swing, and picked her up by the arm off the ground. He chuckled with a deep voice, pulling her face up closer to his own.
"So. You're the one who has been butchering your own kind. That mile long kill streak, all about to be torn in half."

"Yeah, don't count your chickens before they hatch, pal." Kaitie replied in a sweet, snarky tone before she attacked. The top of her forearm opened, and her hand slid down to reveal a thin blade with a low shine in the darkness. She had quickly identified a weak point of armour in the lower abdomen, and struck, plunging the blade into his body. To her surprise, there was still blood in his abdomen, not the electric blue fluid that ran through cybernetics. He grunted in pain, and threw her to the ground, clutching his side, and stopping to look at the blood on his hand. Kaitie stood up and her blade re-entered her arm.
"Want to keep going?" She taunted
"Lucky hit, bitch. It won't happen again."
"You're right. This time I'm gonna shoot you." Kaitie repositioned herself to face the Battle-Wagon, and held both her arms out in front of herself. Her hands and forearms split apart, revealing the mechanisms inside, all shifting in unison, turning into plasma blasters, the blades from both arms forming bayonets. The Cyborg ran towards her, and she blasted shots into him.

Warren stood his own ground, shooting the two Spyder drones with his pulse gun. He had it in Spread-shot to simulate a shotgun, the spread being well suited for combating the arachnid like robots wide size. They were cannon fodder, easily rid of within thirty seconds. He then switched his gun to repeater mode to assist Luke.
"Luke. Down in front!"

Luke had a split second to react before Warren began unloading shots in his direction. He trusted Warren's shooting skills, but he still made sure he wasn't in the path of a plasma shot. He ran his blade through the neck of the Cyborg he was currently fighting, and then rolled out of the way.
*Kush, Kush, Kush* Three shots hit a Cyborg in its leg, arm, and torso, punching a big hole into the limbs, and sending him falling to the ground with a thud. Seizing the moment while the final Cyborg was disoriented, Luke lunged at her, and skewered her through the torso. Her eyes rolled back as he removed his blade, and she fell onto her back.

Further up the pipe, Kaitie had finally defeated the Battle-Wagon. Multiple shots into the area where she had stabbed him, and finished him by plunging her blade into his jugular. He crashed to the ground, and Kaitie was covered in blood spatter.
"Well. That was fun." She chuckled to herself as she made her way towards Warren and Luke. Warren just looked at her and smirked before congratulating them.
"Good job, you two. Mission accomplished."
Luke just turned and made his way towards the sewer ladder. He never was one to stay around for celebration. He only made his way to the next mission. Kaitie stood next to Warren for a moment before heading to the ladder herself.
"This is why I don't trust him. He always goes and leaves straight after we complete a mission. ugh..."
Warren just followed her up the ladder. He had known Luke since Middle School. He was never a team player.
"He's my friend. That's enough for me to trust him. But I don't think that's what you should be worried about right this second, anyway."
"What do you mean?"
"After that fight, we need a shower..."
